    First post!

I have had my 2017 SR 4x4 2.7l for about a month now.. Absolutely love the truck!

I will start this year traveling the country pursuing my dream of accomplishing the U.S. Super Slam (a turkey in every state but Alaska) on strictly public land.. I needed a truck for this task and this is the one i decided to build.. I am really dreading the drive to Hawaii though..

So far, all i have been able to do to it is a DV8 center mount winch bumper, Smittybilt X20 10k, tint and the light bar is on its way.. I have an aluminum topper that came off of a 90's toyota pickup that is currently being modified to fit this truck.. It is about 4" taller than the cab, but that is much needed head space since i will be living out of this truck two months out of a year..

I have really enjoyed this thread!

You can buy OEM, but the price is smoking high, occasionally a member here sells theirs. The aftermarket ones all look different. Check flea bay also, good luck.

All these SR models are looking good! I am in the market for a SR Crew Cab v6 4x4. Think this is the best choice for me as I plan on lifting it anyways and after market wheels. I don't care for a lot of the extra bells and whistles. Plus the 2020 SR seems to have a lot of the tech that the earlier model years left off. I do wish the steering wheel was leather wrapped but can always swap that out down the road.

Anyways looking forward to my new truck and see what you guys are up to with your trucks.

I went the cheap route and put this cover on my wheel. Even had it on the leather wheel in a Dodge van.

Does anyone have a 2020 SR Double Cab 4x4 v6? I am trying to verify that the truck has keyless entry as a standard option. When building out that truck on toyota.com the SR convenience package is not an option for 4x4 double cabs. Only on the 2wd is it an option. This makes me think its standard but the sales rep I am working says its not. I don't they she is right but the truck I want is currently in route to the dealership. Just want to make sure before I put money down on it.

Stitched on a leather cover last night. I have both the factory leather and my SR wheel with the cover. The SR with the $50 cover feels softer

Its definitely not a dealer installed option. It would be installed at the factory as its built into the security key fob system.

But looks like yours is a 2019. You can still build a 2019 on toyota.com and addon option. Just not an option on the 2020.

Did they make the security system standard? Because for it to be built into the security system it would have to be. I dont have security but i have the convenience package listed as dealer installed so im assuming it came without and my dealer programmed the computer with the keyfobs.

Transponder keys have been standard on almost every single car sold in the US since like 2010, most cars before that. There is no toyota sold today in the US without a transponder key...

And the SR convenience is not a dealer installed option. The dealer orders it this way. But yours is a 2019, not a 2020. There were a lot of changes to the 2020.

Security feature vs Factory security system & glass break sensor PT398-35160. Im talking about the latter. I dont consider the transponder key a secuity system.

Ok, I am specifically asking about remote keyless entry lock and unlock buttons coming standard on 2020 4x4 SR models.

I know my SX did not come with keyless entry. Dealer wanted $1400 to put it on. Went and got Viper with Remote Start for $500 instead.

The argument isnt whether its exclusively dealer installed though. The dealer can install anything if you wanna throw money at them.
