    I'm just a cheap cunt

    :bananadead:

I dont mind if it's a $5 part or the 3time price hike for it. It's the highway robbery shipping ( The $100) these people demand for it. If shipping was around the $40 mark, much like the C4 bumper reinforcement bars, i'd consider it

So when you compare $60 for 4 parts to the $20 for 4 parts oem price, yeah it's pricey in comparison.

it's astounding how much abuse those tracks went through and and which ones help up and which ones failed. The tred pro was a surprise after the little brother gave out. Definitely puts to perspective as to why maxtrax sit at the top of the hierarchy.

Yep, my usaction trax are pretty much maxtrax with a different name.

I sent pics of the mods to my boards that I did for snow and ice to the usaction trax guys, they loved it. :humble:

My bad, thought I spammed them here

All the traction nubs on the action trax are replaceable as they break with nuts, bolts and washers. I took it 1 step further and removed the bottom ground gripping nubs and replaced them with the same hardware.

I use my traction boards more than most people do, almost every single weekend in the winter. These have held up great so far, and this new mod really works. They dont want to run away from under the tires.

aint @Steves104x4 our resident US friend?
the fittings themselves seem to be only made from USCC (dove pretty deep into the USCC trademarks and 2 other companies, 1 of which sells the threaded insert and is based in china) idk if it's a china clone, but it might be the same, hard to tell since i can't find part numbers that match.

If you do order some for the $15 or whatever, i might grab another 2 as spares incase i destroy 1 of mine. Just give me a heads up beforehand, i have ideas :spy:

is one my mum used for quite some time, not sure how to set it up or what the costs were. i just know this is along one of the first exit once you're in the US.

Though being critical of the costs. $15USD for the 4 parts is around $20 CAD
US address is $5 for pickup by non-renters.
Also need to take into consideration the 4 hours of driving from (i round up, make a pitstop at walmart for cheese or something) from cambridge/kitchener, so fuel costs come into consideration, 280km there and back to kitchener which lets say is little over 1/2 of a tank of gas, which lets say is about 40 liters of gas, so lets say $35 for gas because you stopped and filled up in the US for its 50 cent/liter prices (i'm not doing the us$/gallon to CAD$/liter conversion i'm just guessing)

so $60 to get the parts compared to $60 from amazoom but you wait a month (idk if the virus held the ship back or something)
but this is if you go out of your way to get it. if you happen to be in the US or near-by the day you get it, then yeah it's cheaper

Unless you get it parceled over the border, which the costs can vary. :notsure:

I've use Bluewater Shipping and SCS in Port Huron for mailing addresses. Cost is $5 a package. They're only an hour from London. Used to go all the time a few years ago when the dollar was higher. Now it still works out once in a while to go. Definitely have to factor in gas and time into the equation to see if it's still worthwhile.
