    Folks

Ute Ltd has agreed to a Group Buy for Tacoma owners.

You can read about the technical specifications of the beds on the UteLtd website or Facebook page: http://uteltd.com/pgs/02-ute-bed.html

Eligible beds included in the Group Buy include those for Regular Cab, Access Cab, or Double Cab, in both short and long bed.

The group buy requires 20 orders to go into production. The beds are normally $3,000 (for tube headboard) and $2,800 (for angle headboard). Group Buy pricing is instead $2275 (w/ angle headboard) and $2375 (with tube headboard). Additional accessories (rear rack, boxes...etc are a la carte).

    *
Also note that you may receive between $300-$1000 for your Toyota Factory bed, should you sell it to a salvage yard...etc.*

Shipping by freight from the Seattle area varies according to your location. Freight to the east coast, it costs about $200-$450. Local pickup in Seattle area is also available.

    Why you need this tray:
    1. It will make loading and unloading your Tacoma easier with dropsides.
    2. It’s lighter and aluminum, so it will not rust, you can haul more, and you can marginally improve your fuel economy.
    3. It looks amazing. It’s the exact same Toyota factory tray/bed sold on Hilux and 70 series Land Cruisers in the Australian market.
    4. It costs $7,500 less than a Norweld tray/bed. For that reason, it is far and away the nicest, most cost-effective tray/bed available in North America.

Another good point to make to those who trade in their truck every few years for the latest model. They may want to save the bed. The Ute bed will fit any of the small trucks new and old, so it can be moved to the next truck. Put the factory box back on when the trade it in for their next truck.

To order, reply with your name, and PM me your email address. Randy of UteLtd will reach out to you with an invoice. The production run begins when we have 20 buyers. Future discounts for those beyond 20 are also possible.

Specific questions can be posted here or to randy@uteltd.com

A thread is going in Technical Chat about utility trays, with much focus on Ute Beds.

    $2,800-$3,000.

If there is interest, we could try and organize a group buy with UteLtd, which is the distributor in the USA.

UPDATE: Group buy is now active. Read post 1.

I’ve been hauling the crap out of my truck using headache rack and whatnot over the years. Have been on the fence for a flatbed for quite sometime

All that I have read says that they are excellent. It comes as no surprise that most light duty pickup trucks in Europe and Australia ship from the factory with a bed that has foldable sides like this one. The build quality is top.

In some respects, it’s kind of wild that American manufacturers do not offer this, given that so many hardworking truck owners could benefit from easier access to materials in the bed.

Not to mention, they look way cool.

    These are cool.

I’ve always wondered if they would work with an after market rear/high clearance bumper. Photos always seem to show no bumper at all.

I can’t help but think that they would, given that the bed sits rather high up.

Given that a Norweld tray will cost you nearly $10,000- it’s fair to say that a UteBed is badass and extremely cost effective.

We are working on a group buy as we speak. It is possible. Pricing and more details are forthcoming.

    Stay tuned
