MESO Puddle Light build

Cut the 12V Constant and splice in (on the "Y' harness side) a 20A output from your SwitchPros. The SP curcuit should be configured battery active high and the overcurrent for this circuit should be set to 5A.

With the Meso switch set to "On", you control the puddle on/off directly with the SP panel (or bluetooth).

With Meso switch set to "Auto", the SwitchPros switch operates as a kill switch for the normal auto operation.

With Meso set to "Off", the SwitchPros switch has no effect (the puddle remains off because it is ungrounded).

May be a decent mod if your SP panel is not co-located with the Meso puddle switch or if you like the idea of controlling the puddles via bluetooth.

Cutting the 12V (Constant) has no effect on the Ultimate LED turn signal operation because the LED turns do not use this circuit. See here for reference.

@MESO switch doesnt fit on empty slots... top is a caliraised and bottom oem open slot... any ideas

I don’t see a small switch hole in that setup. The top is a snap in TALL, and the bottom right hole is a TALL Toyota switch. You need a small slot(like the 400w inverter)

I gotta try and be patient and wait for the second or third drop of something instead of getting the initial run I’ll be one of the guys this weekend tapping into something else for switch illumination. I’m going to be installing heated seats as well and would ideally like to tap all three of those switch illuminators to the same source. I’ll shoot you an email tomorrow with what I was thinking if that’s cool

Thanks @CttAznRanger, trying to install the puddle light switch without having to purchase any aftermarket panels. Just don’t know what’s involved with using one of the blank switch spots on the stock center console panel below the radio / AC. I was gonna just try taking a flathead screwdriver to pop out one of the blank pieces, and then sliding MESO switch in its place. For some reason I’m thinking it’s gonna take more than that lol...

 

It will require a little bit more, you're right. But it's not as difficult as you may think.

I ended up using a thin blade to pop out the switch, just as you said. I did end up taking out the center console and QI charger area so I could wiggle the plastic around a bit. Took a wire and fished it to the area above the pedals, then just fished the wire up to the A pillar.

 

Did taking out the center console require removing nuts and bolts etc?

 

Total of 2 bolts, 3 screws, and a lot of clips.

 

I’ll attempt it this afternoon if the weather cooperates. Post some pics of how awesome it looks whenever ya can! Of course it wouldn’t be as easy as just sliding the MESO switch in and feeding the harness in from behind while leaving everything in place

 

Wait are you talking about removing the switch blanks? Those clip in... No screwdriver needed, just squeeze at top and bottom behind the console... I think?

 

Yes, I’ll give that a shot before using a screwdriver / utility knife. Was hoping it would just be an easy slide new switch in its place and run the puddle light harness behind it up to A pillar. Sounds like you’ve gotta take more apart however, no biggie. Always looking for the easy way out lol
