What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Got ya, I’d bet the majority of folks keep it all the time. Seen a few now with it, they are gaining popularity. It’s an interesting concept and pretty good idea if they cracked the code on possible scratches.

Back in the 80s or 90s the old man had those signs and scratched his truck up. He still gets fired up anytime he sees a magnet on a vehicle. Complained to my wife when she had a yellow ribbon magnet on her car.

Amazingly in Thailand people seldom use their horns. Its a "cooperative chaos" as I call it. I can come to a stoplight and be the first one and while waiting for the light to change 100 or more scooters pull up in front, beside and behind me. Then the light changes and its a full on drag race...LOL. Also you have to be paying attention all the time as many drive on the sidewalks then fly out...... Never a dull moment

As for death by vehicle, Pretty much the same here. They agree on some price (Which isn't a lot usually from what I have read and seen) and move on. No lawyers, no finger pointing, no jail time. No license suspension and no insurance increase. That said though the surviving driver has to live with the long term impact of having hit and killed someone.

Looks great. So the only missing part of full sliders would be attaching the far front bolts? Assuming easy install?

 

Haha I’m in the same boat, all lowered cars prior and this is my first truck, absolutely in love.

 

They are sliders without the extra tubing sticking out. They bolt up the same as the sliders do and will protect the under side just as good. The only difference is there is no side protection or kick outs.

hit 3000 miles on my way to work this morning. Bought this truck new 12/19, Very happy with it.

 

I think it’s pretty common. I had the same marks on mine. You’d think when they put in the spare tire off the production line they would ensure it’s not seated so tight. I was surprised there would be this kind of damage to the spare you’regonna rely on to get you to your next location after getting a flat.

 

Looking good. This is where the fun starts but be careful modding can be addictive.
I have a couple of recommendations that if you don't already have you may want to consider. Both very practical and IMO worthwhile. The first is the bed mat. Something you'll immediately appreciate when you use the bed of your Taco for the first time. That composite bed is like a skating rink. Without one anything that hasn't been secured will slide and bounce around like crazy.
The other are Cupeez door handle pocket protectors. They will eliminate those annoying scratches inadvertently put there by fingernails. Of all the mods I've done these two are probably the two most practical additions I've added to my own Tacoma.
Just something you may want to consider before you dive off the deep end like many of us here.
That said, whatever you decide on for mods just make it yours and you won't be disappointed.

Edit: I wasn't clear on this previously and it may have caused some confusion for some that aren't familiar with Cupeez.
Cupeez are designed specifically for the exterior door handle pockets.

 

Can’t go wrong with orange. I did orange highlights throughout my truck also. Always get complements on how it contrasts well with the grey.
