    Just the basics
Once I put on my side awning/room it was a game changer. I am considering a Kodiak/Springbar tent to make basecamp easier.

I have a Kodiak Deluxe 10'x14'. We love it. We had 50+MPH winds with sideways rain & never got a drop inside the tent. Cooler in the summer & warmer in the winter.

They are amazing tents. I have the small 6x8.5 and its perfect for my 11yr old and I. We had ours in similar winds and it was rock solid, I'm still blown away!

Kodiak's sleeping bags are great too....we recently tested them on a few 27°F desert nights and we were toasty the whole time. I'm very happy with their products.

I can't tell but is the frame bolted to the truck bed?

Love this setup! Did you mount the awning to the basket or the base bars? I am thinking of getting the 4' awning and mounting similar to this onto my base bars to have some shade over the bed opening.

Thank you, yeah I mounted the awning to the basket itself using some clamps I picked up at a local overland retailer. I don't actually have 'cross-bars' on my roof-rack..I did a custom mounting option. I will try to get some pictures of all that for you later today.

I have a Kodiak Flex-bow VX 10x10 and it’s great. Didn’t use it a lot last year but it is a quality tent. I was going to do a rtt until I saw @Crom ’s setup in all of his trip reports. A huge plus is that my truck in not stuck where it’s parked, when out camping.

Rather than use drawer glides I put urethane wheels that stick through the bottom and ride in the bed grooves. Made it much easier.

Thanks. It was my first attempt at a camping setup, it's worked well but I've got to make some adjustments.

I am almost done with my build-out. I primed and painted everything except for the top (which is getting black vinyl diamond pattern flooring) to match the color of the truck.

Not sure on exact weight but it's fairly light for what it is. I can install it myself without struggling if that gives you an idea.

I used the old 608z bearings and steel rails technique and it slides pretty well. I opted for 3/4" 14g tube steel instead of 1" 16g like most folks use. I wanted to give myself just a little bit more storage space in the drawer and it doesn't compromise anything.

I would also like to see some more photos or plans if you have them. I plan on doing this same thing in March. I am waiting till after I get my fridge so I can decide where I want to put it and how I want to lay out my drawers.

    Nice work though! Looks great.
