    My AX8000 is going back to Crutchfield.

    After confirming all items are installed correctly and every possible setting explored, I just found it lacking for my needs. I simply wanted phone, Waze and Sirius (talk mostly) integration in a smooth manner to allow hands free calls and everything controlled from the OEM switch gear on the steering wheel.
    I made notes and went over the good along with the issues and Crutchfield tech was speechless and agreed it appears it needs some software updates at a minimum. (No updates yet still at 1.0) on this unit I spent more time interacting with the screen than any other head unit I've had.
    Until I decide what next I am going back to tablet as noted by post above. No channel control nor input selection but not a whole lot different than this setup.

    How are you able to route the wire through, is the whole just big enough for lightning porting to push through?

    yes- the two holes I drilled were just big enough to get the lightning cable thru. Filled the holes with a rubber grommet I found at my local Ace Hardware.

    There are a few threads on it. Dasaita and Siciene however you spell it make some. I have the Dasaita def tons of features. I would def add an amp to it. Decent power but sound quality could be better.

    this Sony looks like a nice option too. I liked the Halo but did not like the way it stuck out.

    Looks awesome! But as I feared, the crash bar is in the way... Will have to inquire about how they modified the radio chassis for fitment.

    Nice, I'm installing the same thing on my 2021 this weekend. I didn't buy the meastro adapter tho. I'm using the Metra ASCW 1 harness to maintain steering controls. They said it would work the same. I'm glad it looks almost flush after install.
