Besides rotating tires and changing the oil, I typically disconnect my battery when working on the truck. Do that and no worries.

I’ve utilized every blank switch slot on the dash, so no more switches necessary. Have you posted the use of that cubby in the past cause I got the idea from someone on this forum? I just can’t remember who. So thank you if it was you or to the member if not you. I noticed the pull handles. I added those to mine just today and finished wiring up the back lights to turn on with the dash lights.

Thank you both! I’ve had both regular cabs and crew cabs in the past. This is my first access cab and I love it!

Installed cruise control in my 0 option truck. Did it Saturday but wanted to test it and report after a couple days.
I couldn't get the "CRUISE" lamp to illuminate at first, I had used the wrong terminal in the connector at the spiral cable. A little brain fart by me.

It works as it should, now I need to tidy up the wire. I ran a quick wire to the ECM to make sure everything works.

I also installed a "t-harness" for my remote start install later this year.

When I put mine on I bough stainless steel ones and just used a crazy long 2 ft long srewdriver to screw it on from the bottom of the truck so you can't get to the screw on the clamp except from the bottom. I already had the screwdriver from another project.

I found a guy who does it on the side, but he works at a big collision company. It was $100 and took him 2 days

Seems to me that sound through the hood isn't entering the cabin, and you want that panel (the hood) to dissipate heat as quickly as possible. More heat in the engine bay isn't generally a good thing, right? ( below the 45th parallel...)

My last Tacoma was an '11 MGM AC TRD Sport. Now im in a '13 AC SR5. I JUST let a set of those wheels get away from me a couple weeks ago. Your pic confirms my lust and pisses me off at the same time!

PS, I grew up in Andovah. Go Bruins!

That plastic cover on top of Tacoma 4.0's is to quiet the engine down in the interior of the truck. It doesn't matter where the sound is occurring at because sound waves aren't directional until high frequencies are achieved.
