Great video, and valuable resource. Thanks! If only Anytimebackup Camera had bothered with instructions half as detailed as this, and included them with the kit I spent nearly $200 on.

Hoping someone can answer my question so I don't have to read through 60+ pages or start my own thread.
    • I currently have a factory back up camera
    • I own an SPOD
    • I would like to have an anytime backup camera option
What would I need to buy and do to make this happen?

There’s nn off topic run in the ECT thread by MESO. I think I figured out how to run 2, and possibly 3 cameras off one MESO switch.

I haven’t validated this, but I think it would work with two separate modules. One is a latcher (with other functions) and the other is a 3 way switcher. I think the two modules would run about $175 give or take a little. Then add cameras.

So I am planning on purchasing this but I believe the camera toggle switch is the same size as the inverter and not the open slot on the right of it. Any pics of where else it will fit? I could put it on one of my AUX switches but there wouldn't be a toggle then.

Depending on how much money you want to spend, meso customs has their custom switch panels back in stock, or at least they did a couple of days ago.

Depending on if you use your wireless charging thingy, (I personally don't) you could put it where that switch is.

on a side note, in case you haven't read the last dozen or so pages of this thread, for the love of god, DON'T buy the camera that they try sell you with that kit. Get the one that everyone is getting from Amazon. Unless you like spending money on garbage, and doing a lot of work for no reason, and then becoming extremely angry, in which case just get the one but they sell with the kit.

Rest of the kit is fine.

Thanks Neipa. I saw 68 pages and read through the first three. Jumped up and posted.

Any opinions here on this one? I like the idea of the having it just go through the mode button on the steering wheel.

I saw someone with that one on YouTube, but I don't know how well it works because I have never tried it. The anytime backup camera one with the OEM style switch works well once you figure out how to get it installed and don't use their piece of shit camera. I personally liked the idea having the dedicated switch, and using it is pretty fast.

So I'd like to purchase the front kit. It looks like it's sold out. So I'll wait. What's the best front camera to buy also ? Any input appreciated. I'm running a Pro Grill

If you only need the camera, then there are two kits available.

    1) the AnytimeBackupCamera kit
    2) the Germes Lab kit sold by several vendors <edit> not working with 2020's?

I don't know what features the SPOD has, but I assume it can be used in lieu of a single pole single throw. Note: for the Germes kit you don't even need your SPOD... it operates through the mode switch on your steering wheel.
