I like it. Ill likely buy all of them and only install the fronts for the time since I can see that they're bad. I cant see the other ones, so they MUST be in perfect shape.... That's logical.

That sucks man. I'd recommend running a bead of this stuff around the seam. I had a similar issue with my tail lights this stuff worked like a charm.

    Good Luck

are you suggesting you want to wait the 2 years hoping it will get worse to justify the replacement?

What he said. This current program cleans and treats the interior portion of the front third of the frame only. Won't obscure any that they view to assess. You'll then have til 2023 for them to determine if it needs replacement. If you wait, that all still applies but your frame will be in worse condition at the point the interior CRC is applied.

    upload_2020-3-9_16-9-48.jpg

You asked for opinions. In my opinion you don't gain any advantage by not allowing them to do the CRC ASAP.

Here's a great thread on this issue.

    GS Industrial Spare Tire Carrier
    https://gscompressor.com/shop?olsPage=products/spare-tire-carrier

After an exhausting amount of research I felt that this was the best option, despite the higher price tag. Install took less than 1/2 an hour and about another 20 min to tighten everything up after a test run. There is some shake when I go over the usual bumps in the road, something that I hope is to be expected. The included anti-hitch rattle plate seems to tighten everything up but will need adjusting. The gas strut powered opening mechanism is really cool. Simply undo the latch and the tire swings out without any additional assistance. Some care is needed though as, in my case, the full size spare weighs in at 96#, and as the hitch swings out, the tire moves faster and can cause an injury or possibly a misalignment with the receiving part of the hitch.

Busy weekend. Installed new rear shocks, front sway bar ends links, vent visors, bug shield, USB/volt gauge, front brake job with Power Stop rotors and pads, installed new driver vent shade and lots and lots of detailing. I'm really liking this 06.

Currently stock as it was just purchased but there will be modifications to come!
Failed inspection for the window tint, so went ahead and removed that so Wednesday I can get back through finally get this thing registered to DE and throw on my 5 digit tag. Then decided to start cleaning up the poorly painted decals from the previous owner. The Tacoma letter started cleaning up pretty good but the front Toyota logo on my grill, not so much so i cleaned it best I could then scuffed it up and re-painted.

The oem lug nuts are meant to work on the steel wheel too. The tip is tapered like an acorn lug nut for this reason. Toyota thinks of these things.

Yes, that’d normally be the case. But my xspx came with aftermarket alloys, hence the extra lugs (which Toyota did indeed think about including luckily). Those wheels are long gone now and I’m running spline drive lugs...not sure if they work with the steely, never tried :notsure:

Installed TC Bed Stiffeners today. Pretty straight forward.

I even managed to get new bed bolts from the dealership, so fresh unrusted bolts!

Yes, Pyrite Mica did become the fastest color, but it was only after The U.S. government ordered Toyota to stop using the Ultra Fast Kolor often referred to as "09" Silver!!!

    Looking for suggestions/ advice...

Started hearing a slight grinding/ rubbing noise from front driver wheel. Im 99% that its the wheel bearing and looking to replace and thinking it may be worth upgrading front brakes while i'm in there!

leaning towards ordering the BECK/ARNLEY 0516470 wheel bearing and hub assembly from Rock Auto and wondering if any of you have other suggestions or experience with the it?

Also, if you guys think its worth upgrading the brakes at the same time and which kits you guys suggest!

    thanks in advance

Enjoyed my first little wheeling trip with the @ARCHIVE hammer hangers. Wow - what a difference on the trail & especially on the washboard fire road TO and FROM the trail, which rattled the whole truck like crazy. Not anymore. Didn’t take many pics but it was a beautiful night. Took some paint off my @SOS CONCEPTS sliders, skids & bumper too. :)
