Id say you're looking closer to $550-$600 for some 16x8 wheels. I found a few i like but haven't made a decision yet. My other dilemma is wondering if i should move up to 17" wheels but that includes buying new tires which bumps up the price closer to $1200-1500.

I agree with this. And you can always upgrade to a higher price range in the future. I personally don't think powder coating stock wheels are worth it, especially for $500 when you're a few hundred dollars away from just buying brand new, pre-finished wheels.

Plast dip looks Factory perfect if you take your time. Less than $30, easy to touch up or remove completely.

OP asked basically what wheel would replace the OEM OR wheel to eliminate the spacer, and all the responses have been basically "Google it." Does nobody have the answer to his simple question? The OP and others don't need to learn about the history of offset and all that.

I'll give him half marks for not calling them 'mags'..

OP for your price either paint your wheels and keep the spacers (not ideal), or look for OEM takeoffs from an FJ/4Runner with ET15 (~15mm more 'poke' than stock ET30 Tacoma wheels) and get rid of spacers.

After the 5th helpful response that didn’t mention Google I stopped counting and realized you were mistaken. Perhaps don’t use the word “all” next time.

Fairly sure you failed to read the handful of helpful responses provided thus far. Gotta love the baseless, negatively-focused posts on this forum.

Man I like these. I'm thinking on moving up to a 17x8 wheel, but it appears these only come in a 17x8.5.

You can take a look at www.4wheelparts.com. They have several sets of Pro Comp wheels (and some others) that you can get into for $500 with lug nuts. Free shipping as well.

This is very true. Unless you really LOVE the style of those TRD OR wheels, your basically wasting most of that $500. You’ll never get it back if you change your mind later and want to upgrade. Sell the wheels and spacers as is for +-$400 and you have the budget for 90% of the wheels that fit your truck.

Spacers are fucking identical to having a wheel with similar offset. Stop being afraid of spacers.

16x8 0 offset looks good. Just find one you like.

I’m completely neutral on the use of spacers so I’m not arguing their safety or benefits either way. But...... they do add 24 more studs and lugs to the equation. Not quite “identical” to having a 1 piece wheel bolted directly to the hub.
