Aye, if I didn’t have the MESO Pro knob and dual switches, I’d be down for one of these for sure. I have a Raceseng in my Cayman and love the feel of that big chunk of steel.

I kinda like that rough cut leather look. Very “Cannonball Run” or “Mad Max” feel to it.

You would just have to be careful of the thread form. The minor diameter of M12x1.25 is .419, very close to the major of the 3/8"-16.

I use partial-profile threading inserts, and the sharp root radius would blow right into the 3/8" thread for me to hit the proper pitch diameter of the M12. I suspect a full-profile insert for 20 TPI will have the proper root radius, and you may have a chance of those laying around in the shop (more so than a metric die anyway).

I haven't made any of these, mainly because I am too cheap to buy a threading insert that is dedicated to a single pitch. I have made plenty of M8/M12 adapters though, much more room to work with there.

Yeah, I think just making a new extension would probably be much easier.

    Okay, here is one.

This is the first knob ever made actually. I eventually made the engraving smaller to fit inside the ring better, so it's not exactly apples/apples.

Thanks! Trying to decide between this or one other. If you find a pic of current sized "TOYOTA" please post. I appreciate it.

I definitely won't be finding that. Nobody has requested it since the resize, so it exists in rendering only at this point.

Sorry, I'm not familiar with this term. Are referring to outlined engravings, versus fully engraved filled letters?

    Yep, that is correct.

Delrin is terrible with this, but not usually an issue until you get into 3D work. The last shop I worked with had a CO2 blaster, and it was a breeze to just break the hairs off after hitting it with that thing.

Red circles show what I mean. This is actually the best I ever got it, by far.

Ooo I'm stoked I came across this at the right time! I'm definitely gonna get myself one of these bad boys for my 6MT. Count me in! I'll msg you tomorrow after I get some time to think about which engraving to go with!

    Added to the list.

No Ti or SS for now, let's see how demand shapes that before I go ordering a bunch of material.
