What are you paying for 2020 Tacomas?

I love it so much! I don't have many mods in mind but foglights are definitely one I want to accomplish. Probably some nice seat covers and maybe the blackout overlays for the "V6" and "4x4" emblems (unless they are easy to remove? That may be a better option)- I kind of like to keep it clean so I probably won't put them in the "Tacoma" logo on the tailgate. Not sure if it's standard on these trucks but mine already had the all weather Tacoma logo floor mats in it which was a plus. I see guys doing so many things on here, I wish there was a list of all the possible mods one can do to these trucks. Like I said, didn't have much in mind but some of the cheap, easy, do it yourself ones might intrigue me just to pass some time!

Yep. Timing was excellent. Plus BoA dumped rates to 2.49% that day, so the financing was cheaper than expected.

Downside is they are not honoring the USATriathlon $500 rebate, but I am still working on it with Toyota.

We had an unsolicited offer from another local dealership for $7k off any of their trucks ($5.5k discount + $1.5k rebate) but the only manual access cab they had didn't have any of the packages we wanted, and was white/cement which was a big no-no for us..

I've been pretty aggressively paying off debt the past year, only have the mortgage and about $6500 left on the truck. I sort of wish I had put more of that into savings but I'm also glad to have reduced my monthly obligations.

Even though I'm sure there will be tough times ahead, I'm thankful that my family is positioned well to weather the storm. My parents are retired, brother in law can work remotely for the bank, fiancee can work from home too.

I can't work from home but luckily construction skilled trades are one of the exemptions from NYs mandatory workforce reduction, for now at least. It's a small group that I work in close proximity with, and we are taking appropriate measure to prevent the spread so hopefully I can continue to work.

 

Times are getting rough. Good news is resale value is awesome on these trucks. Bought my 2020 in dec for 32000 and sold it for 33500 in March with 2500 miles on it. Thank god for cheap AL sales tax. Only lost $150 after 3 months all together. Now time to hold off on buying a car and waiting for deals to pop up in the next few months.

Lol. Yeah. That would be stupid. I sorta got buyers remorse after realizing the truck was too nice for me to beat on Offroad. I enjoyed my cheap 2nd gen because I didn’t have to worry about it. If this is anything like the last recession, sports cars will depreciate pretty heavily so I’ll be in that market. We will see.

Sounds like a good deal but OTD is pretty useless since fees, taxes, trade, etc. varies for everyone. We try to stick to what the price was prior to adding those in.

 

I just told them I wanted that price OTD, I didnt deal on the the price of the truck.
It's better to deal with the OTD price first then subtract what you're trading your vehicle in for
I've gotten exactly 3,500 off my 2018, and the price OTD was close to MSRP.
I think you should pay close to or below MSRP OTD.
I still keep all my paperwork to prove it. I dont know any salesman or manager I walked into a random dealership and didnt sign any dumb deals

 

I was supposed to put a deposit down on an order 2 weeks ago but I told the dealer I would rather wait a couple of months until things with the virus starts to settle down. (And maybe better offers pops up in a couple of months)
He emailed me today saying Toyota is trying to stimulate business by decreasing their finance rates.
My rates with this deal was 2.49%, and now it’s 0.49%.
Is this just a tactic for the end of first quarter sales? Do you guys think better deals are coming in the next couple of months?

 

Damn, prime rates were around 3-4% just a few weeks ago. I haven't seen any announcements from TFS, but I mean if its on paper then its legit. Who knows, times a moving fast.

 

If the rates go down that's the same as lowering the price of the truck. Only slight possible thing I would say and this is a low chance is that when production stops the inventory will dwindle.

 

Yep and most manufacturers are halting production.

 

Seems unchanged to me in my region. The fed rate cuts were not consumer based, looks to still be 1.9% for 60 months which is what I locked in on my 2020.
