I use the Warrior Quick latch for shovel and axe. Pricey but solid AF and works perfect with my platform.

I added that notch so that I wouldn't have to flip the driver side platform over to deploy it or stack it into the other. I could just slide it from stowed to deployed and vise versa. It made it so I wouldn't have to remove cargo that was sitting on top. I just never got around to putting carpet over it.

Here is my take on the pask makes drawer. I wanted to leave a section of the bed open so I have room for the mountain bike or cooler. I left a ledge on the drawer frame so that I can place plywood to make the platform complete.20200309_113624.jpg 20200309_113631.jpg 20200315_132428.jpg 20200320_182015.jpg 20200322_162652.jpg 20200322_162814.jpg

Hey Nick, Have you already sold your carpet kit? Looks like a great set up. Do you have the 5 1/2 ft Bed on your tacoma?

Great set up! Did you have to bolt this down the frame of the bed? or is it heavy enough to just stay in place by weight alone?

I used turnbuckles on 3 corners. Thats why I have an extention off the frame. I actually changed it after the photo I posted. So far so good but it has only seen pavement at this point.

Hey Dane. Nope it's sitting in my garage. Let me know if you're interested, I have the week off and could make a trip out. I have the long bed.

Exact setup I have love it. Only thing I don't like is the awning setup a little wind those legs didn't like to stand up. Other than that it sleeps my dogs and have a full kitchen inside it. Can drive away and go do stuff while my camping gear sits inside it

I agree with the awning though I do feel that if you could find a tree or something more stable to attach them to it would be worth while. Usually I'm by the beach camping so it's soft ground doesn't help

Sweet! I have a 2006 Tacoma with the short bed. Tempted to make a carpet kit to stay organized for work / camping trips. How much are you asking for yours again, and do you have the short bed on your tacoma too? Thanks! - Dane
