Has anyone ever experienced this before? I have a 2017 Tacoma Sport. I recently upgraded my cell phone to Android 10. Now when connected to the Tacoma factory stereo, I can no longer make calls from the truck, giving me an error that I'm out of cellular service area. My cell phone is showing full bars connectivity, however stereo shows no service. Any advice/ideas would be appreciated!

Did you delete and re-add the phone's Bluetooth pairing?

Absolutely, twice. All contacts and messages import no problem. Even the 4 favourites come back ok.

For what it's worth, I followed the link above, I tired a couple suggestions there, but it didn't work unfortunately. I tried various bluetooth codecs on my phone, but none of them allowed the head unit to recognize I had full bars of service. I can receive phone calls via hands free and the head unit, but cannot dial out. Waiting for Android to push a fix in their software, or someone else who is more tech savy than I to suggest a workaround...

Well, after searching some more online, I have found a useful link, which resolved my issue, and now I can make calls again after upgrading to Android 10 on my mobile device. https://help.elitehrv.com/article/135-clear-bluetooth-cache-android This shows you how to clear the bluetooth cache from your device. Worked like a charm for me. If it helps anyone else out there, then awesome!

BTW, welcome to the forum from Eastern North Carolina!

I'm just curious about which phone you have with Android 10. I'm not a luddite, but have never been one of those who wants the latest thing, "just because".

I'm still using a Samsung Galaxy S4, with Android 5.0.1, and it's working great. Maybe I'll upgrade one day. :notsure:

    Thanks Scooby!
Back to working again. Seems to happen to me whenever I pair to a bose Bluetooth speaker. Weird.

I should never have been curious enough to start down that rabbit hole. Ended up updating my radio and have been searching for over an hour trying to figure out what bluetooth codecs toyota supports other than SBC to no avail. I enabled developer mode on my S9 to flip through the different codecs but even after clearing the bluetooth cache my phone is defaulting to SBC when nothing is connected so I don't know if SBC is the only option with entune or not. Closest solution fixing that problem with Android 9 was a suggestion to turning off dual BT connection but I can't figure out if that's even possible on Android 10

Thanks for the information. I had to Google it just to find out what it is. I don't have any idea how to even pronounce Xiaomi. Maybe I'm more Luddite than I thought. :notsure:
