If I get one, it'll be new. The last two "gently used" vehicles that were still under factory warranty and/or had certified warranty in addition to original warranty ended up being total pieces of junk.

06 Infiniti G35 was bought with 28k on the clock and was traded on the Tacoma less than 2 years later.
18 Honda Odyssey was bought with 28k on the clock as a certified pre-owned. Traded approximately 6 months later for the Expedition.

I know that there are good used vehicles out there, but my experience has sucked. Every vehicle that we've purchased new has lasted 10+ years before being traded or sold with no major issues.

With the 13th gen, it sounds like the 2.7 Ecoboost has the least problems. At least from what I’ve heard anyway. The 5.0 V8 has oil consumption issues, and the 3.5 EB has these timing issues I’m fighting. It’s possible the 2.7 has issues I haven’t heard of though. If I didn’t have to pull a big-ass trailer every so often, the 2.7 might’ve been a better choice for me for the efficiency and slightly better reliability.

It isn't often, but the trailer tow capacity is what has me looking at the 3.5. Won't be anytime soon though unless thing miraculously recover overnight.

I was in the same boat, I don’t tow but maybe 3-5 times a year, but it was more than the Taco could handle. Don’t get me wrong, besides this timing issue I love the truck. The power is awesome, the cab is spacious, and I get about the same MPG’s I get in my Taco. That and it was actually the same price as a similarly equipped third gen Taco. Once I installed a brake controller, the trailers I’ve towed with it feel like nothing, the only thing I notice of course being the MPG’s take a dive.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
I am servicing ACC tomorrow. I will look in my pile of stuff to see if it was brought over in the move.

    Dang it Josh that’s tempting...
I have a long list of small/medium stuff I want to get done. Would be fun to have a second set of eyes and opinion while doing the work. But The ‘Rona got me second guessing everything in life. AND just found out my mom’s showing symptoms and she only been to grocery and pharmacy a couple times this past couple weeks. Hitting close to home.
Man this shit better be over soon! Need some mod days and some trail rides and some camping trips aaaannnndddd some range time!!!

When it comes to Marlin Crawler, don't hold your breath. He said he's been coming out with stuff and it just never happens. If it doesn't say in-stock on the website good luck getting it. Takes forever
