I’d still buy one of them new ford diesel half tons though. They’re pretty slick and the engine is near bomb proof. I do miss the full size life.

Are those the ones that require cab removal for engine servicing?

I have multiple buddies with them and worked at a company that had them and I have never once encountered anyone saying or any situation where there was a reason for them to remove the cab for servicing lol. That’s pretty absurd. I’m assuming that engine was being removed for warranty.

Cab removal isn't hard if you are doing it in the shop, can be detached under 2 hours with a skilled technician. I like it that way so you don't have to lean and reach tight spots. Like PCV valve on turd gens :annoyed:

Poor little first gen is going in for a complete exhaust rebuild today. She finally said she wasn’t having it with the stock one. Had more holes than Swiss cheese.

guys I've been looking around on the internet and on this site for some bolt specs. Hoping someone on hear has a cab off the frame and can give me some specs.
I'm making a body lift ( yes hold your laughter in ) and would like to know the length and thread of the bed bolts, and the cab bolts. I'm under the impression the cab bolts are just bolts and nuts but the bed are bolts that thread into the bed..
Thanks ahead of time for any help..

Why you might be asking... to fit bigger tires, why else.... thanks.

the cab bolts are a bolt and a nut. Through a bushing. Bolt head is in the cab, and nut is at the cab mount.

The bed is a bolt (through the bed) and threads into the frame. I have the bolts (speciality thread size that can be found at auto parts stores) somewhere as I replaced them when I did the flatbed.

    may help

also to fit tires just cut and smash. I’m planning to jump to 37’s eventually. 2-2.5” lift

Pretty common for tires to tuck inside the glass in Toronto:
