Need help with transmission rebuild.

    Hey guys I just dropped my transmission out of my 07 V6 4.0 6 speed access cab sr5 4x4 Tacoma. I'm having trouble finding the Information on the transmition and also cant find a full transmission rebuild kit does anyone know a sight or can attach a link were I can get one?

    OP, the only rebuild kits happen to consist of a handful of bearings.

    For a long time on this forum I have been recommending to forget attempting a rebuild on the RA60, particularly earlier year versions such as yours. The reason being that there was a large flurry of part changes, and we are talking many dozens and include such things as the main shaft from about 2005-10 and its often difficult to determine compatibility as there were at least two entirely different versions of the transmission by then with the 3rd version on the horizon.

    Then there is the astronomical price of parts. If your transmission is whines it could be worn gears to worn bearings. And don't even think about getting in there expecting to find good syncros.
    My advise remains to look for a lower mileage '13-'15 and just do a direct swap in.
