I have those on the driver. It made a big difference. On my drives to florida (9 hours) I would get a decent amount of back pain plus my knee would rest on the plastic on the door and eventually hurt. Changes the angle so that the bottom of your legs are supported when driving. No longer get nearly as much pain when driving long distances. Can't say it makes the seats any better but you feel more supported.

 

Shit, then your lucky. These seats in comparison to my runner are horrible.
Specifically the position. Your still young is what it is

 

The seat is what sold me on it.

I lost a ton of weight last year and most seats give me a literal pain in the ass. It’s the Tacoma seat and this IKEA office chair that are the exceptions.

 

I like the material and mine is pretty sporty in the Pro. It’s the position that gets to me. Seat feels soooo flat, feels like a go-cart position.

 

Anyone have experience with a paint sealer or ceramic coating? With all this time on my hands now it’d be nice to put something on the Ford that’s super durable/long lasting and super low maintenance, since it’s my daily and lives outside.

 

I have experience with Ceramic Pro. It’s great, but expect to pay 1500-2000 for a dealer to do it.

There are also a couple that you can do yourself that promise a 1-2 year life.

If the car is absolutely perfect paint wise, it’s not hard as long you follow the instructions. If it’s not you need to remove contamination, fix any imperfections and then apply which takes a lot of time and tools.

After all that, it still won’t protect against scratches and you still have to take care of it to get the most life out of it.

There are a lot of good long life sealants that you can apply every 6-12mos much easier and cheaper. Still, it’s all in the prep. Before you put anything on the paint it has to be free of contamination.


Just corrected my truck today and applied Chemical Guys Jet Seal. We’ll see how long it lasts. It claims 12mons

I've tried the Meguiars hybrid ceramic spray on stuff on the expedition. I need to do the paint correction stuff on the Tacoma before I put it on there. Couldn't really tell a difference in the meguiars and whatever the dealership put on the Ford, so I can't really comment on how well I like it yet.

I will say that one use was like 1/3 of the bottle though.

Anyone have a Short Action rifle they would possibly part with? Got my reloading stuff back from a friend and want to build a new rifle, Have a couple I could trade, one is a Ruger in .22 Hornet and I have a M&P .40c that doesn't see any use, more of a rifle guy. Really want a Savage 10, due to not needing a gunsmith to rebarrel.

Friend has a 2nd gen SR5 4x4...
Stock rear suspension can’t handle the weight he needs to haul heavy materials in the bed for all his construction & landscaping projects.

What is the best (and affordable) way to increase load capacity and still maintain roughly the same stock ride height while unloaded?

Or... last resort, if he’s gotta go lifted, what’s the right setup front and rear that won’t break the bank? (Not lifted too high.)

If maintaining stock ride height is preferred, helping springs like Hellwig or SuperSprings would definitely help.

On my 2nd gen I did a Deaver AAL, but I also wanted lift out of it.

 

my father in-law put a 2” AAL in and it was like $70 and it helped a lot. Also while unloaded it has a slight rake not bad. Also just did the same AAL for my buddy’s 3rd gen after he added a bed rack, big CVT RTT, and gear

 

I started out with sumosprings. (610-40) They now make 612-40’s that would prob be better.

When I had a bunch of weight in the back, it rode nice. Empty, it bucked and felt like crap. Super easy install and about $100 used in TacomaWorld

 

Anyone needed a used set of Thule mounts for raised roof rails? I got these from a buddy for free and used them on my XC90 for canoe transport. Since I got my Taco and installed the OEM rack, I don't need these 4 mounts and the two square crossbars (60"). One cap is missing for a mount and the caps are missing on the rails. They aren't pretty but they work and they're FREE. I strapped one to my OEM rack to show how they attach to raised rails.

Won't ship but can meet in Buford or Lilburn areas (since I'm still working, I'm in either of those places)

 

My buddy has a tire sale going on. Buy 3 get one free. Just ordered 6 KM3s two free for the taco and the trailer.
