I asked and I was told that the system would work with ALL NTSC cameras so... I took that as a yes but I don't know exactly how the system will handle that though...
maybe you cycle through the cameras using the up and down arrows???
I will verify before sending any of these out, once I have them of course.

    will do!

Has anyone else had problems with the volume on the steering wheel not working after installation? And for some reason the camera has everything flipped on me, like things on the left show up on the right

No problems with volume not working. Check that all the connectors are firmly seated at the rear of the head unit.
Depending on which camera you have, there will be a camera cable wire to clip to correct the reversed image.

the up and down buttons on the d pad work fine because I can switch between the front and back camera, but the volume buttons (left and right on the d pad) have stopped adjusting volume now.

As far as the camera goes I got whatever taco garage sent me with the package i just know it’s not a natika, as soon as I get home I’ll check the brand it is, because i wouldn’t really recommend it anyway since it was kind of annoying to install

The attached diagrams may help, but I can't tell you which physical connector the steering wheel volume wiring shown in these diagrams is on. The pins show up on page 3 in one of these diagrams, and page 4 of the other. Which diagram applies to you depends on whether you have navigation or not.

Man, that's concerning. I'm waiting for them to get in the 2020 version but would be hesitant before I heard whether or not you fixed your issues. Keep us updated.
Also has anyone replaced the stock rear camera with this setup?I like something that has a wider angle and can act as a replacement for both losing visibility through my back window due to a Go Fast Camper setup and losing my blind spot management function because I replaced my back bumper.

Thank you so much for those! But I’m a novice when it comes to electrical so anything more than plug and play and I get a little nervous. I might just sell the kit and get one with switch and hope that works better

I'm hesitant to do that type of stuff myself but usually when you get into it it's easier than you think. Try and work with the diagrams, you'll figure it out.

Another thing that would be really cool is if the rear camera activated when you hit either the right or left turn signals. Anyone figures that out who's electrically inclined let us know.

This setup is by far the easiest install. I wish I could tell you which connector you need to check but I don't know, and there's no way I'm gonna go pull my HU out to try to figure out which one it is. But I'm 100 percent certain that the volume +/- wiring from the steering wheel will just be a pass-thru connection in the RFCC wiring. The RFCC interface unit itself does nothing at all to the volume, it only intercepts the Mode button and the Up/Down button signals from the steering wheel controls.

I know I'll figure it out on the install, but does the front camera get power at the supplied pigtail behind the radio or do we need to find a source? Also, grounding the camera, does the base ground the camera or is there a separate wire?

Power for the front camera is obtained from the RFCC controller wiring harness. The rear camera get it's power from wherever it gets it currently (prior to RFCC install). I attached the controller install manual in case you don't have it.

The Natika camera I installed had power wires included in the black video cable (pictured) as well as separate red/blk power wires (also pictured). I just used the power wire provided in the video cable (called trigger wire in the Natika diagram), and left the red/blk wires coiled behind the kick panel.

#8 Gotcha! and the connector has the 12v source you tap into.... I would have totally figured this out myself :sorry: Im at work and was wondering about that detail prior to even opening the box at home

    Thanks!

The hardest part is finding the "perfect" location for your camera, so it shows as much of your front bumper (and what's directly in front of it) as possible.
Aside from that, getting the wiring through the firewall was pretty tough. I pushed a piece of a coat hanger from the engine compartment into the cabin.
Then I stuffed the end of the Natika 4-pin connector into the biggest/fattest plastic straw the I could find, then secured it with tape.
I attached the other end of the big fat straw to the coat hanger. I lubed up the straw with Magic Lube that I use for my swimming pool pump/filter.
Then I had my wife provide (mostly moral) support from inside the cabin while I pulled on the coat hanger from under the hood.
Finally the connector came through (like giving birth). o_O I immediately plugged it into the camera and was relieved to find that it still worked. :broccoli:

Under hood, passenger side (I later covered all this with split-loom tubing)

The "trigger" wire in essence is the power source

Hahahahah! and you went passenger side, okay, cool! this is super helpful, man! thx! and I have the BAMF grill insert thing going on, so its nice and flat and can mount it anywhere on that thing... The fact that its thick stainless is the hardest part... with drilling and all.

Mount your camera as close as possible to the exact center (side-to-side) of your grille. I routed wires through the passenger side because it seemed that was what most people were recommending. Plus there are already a ton of wires on the driver side. I hooked up the controller and left it propped up over the console for about two days (I have other vehicles to drive) while I went round and round simulating various camera mounting positions with the camera cable routed through the passenger window (see pic). I also found a lot of useful info in this thread and others before I started my install. Search the forums for "Car Solutions" or "RFCC" and you should be able to find a lot of tips.

I'm not sure if this is sarcasm or not. I mean the OP was back in early December.
How far are you looking forward?
