If you can manage to get that lca out without damage inspect it for rust than replace the bushings after giving it a fresh lick of paint

@mechanicjon just made that sticky worthy post to make energy suspension bushings greaseable

the D43XL leaf is the 3rd leaf in the pack. You have your leaf that mounts to the frame, the second leaf, and then one that looks just a hair shorter than the second one... that’s the extra leaf. And as others have stated, normal Dakar’s have 5 leafs in the pack.

Well this is good to know. Mine came off the rubber, started ticking really loudly. I glued it back to the isolator but it fell off again. I eventually just zip tied the fucker. Tick's pretty loud now though.

    I'd have to agree.

Can anyone tell me what the button on the left side of steering wheel, below the vent is that says " Power ETC NORM" is or what it does? On my 2000 prerunner 6cy. thanks.

*******Never mind found it, locks Torque converter for more power for towing, or pass, etc.

I think it changes the shift points or something, someone that actually knows will chime in eventually.

I just changed out the automatic shifter bushing. it fixed the loose shifter but now I cannot get the key out of the ignition. I also have an extra part. any ideas on why key is stuck or what this part is? I heard it pop off while removing the shifter and idk where it goes.

UPDATE: I got the key out and the shifter is operating like normal. but I still don't know where the hell that piece popped off from.

    4 run, 2 don't
Interesting alternative using those end links.

I know one member here has a slight creaking every time he opens his swing out whereas I don't; the hinge uses poly bushings which naturally would require greasing to keep things quieted down.

    Can't wait until it's finished.

I could care less if someone has different opinions, it's the constant bickering that gets old. I've seen him personally insult a few people in here. Believe he called someone a bitch because they disagreed with him, seems to me he has a problem with people not following him like a sheep. He may be a good guy in real life, but he gets old here.

That looks to be a lock for pins in one of the make electrical connectors.

Wrong. You don't have control over when the torque converter locks with this button.

    Pretty much.

Built another harness added a rear light. I also added a extra pig tail on the end so I can plug another light witch has a magnet on it and can be placed anywhere around the Tacoma.

Kind of digging the raw metal look. So might just clear coat it instead if black.

Think my interior is getting to where I like it now (after full detailing, OEM floormats, SRunner Sport buckets, and an OEM stereo with aux in the glove box), but need to go for a test run to make sure this thing doesnt get in the way of shifting the gears!

This is awesome, I was thinking about a way to do this exact set up. Its always been a headache with the bikes and RTT. What is the bike rack that you have?

I bought the 1up Van Trays. Mounted them to a 1x3 rectangle tube. But they have a roof rack one that would be easier to set up. Just weld on 2 legs to the bed rack and you’re done. I went this way so that I can take the rack off and still use the 1x3 to carry other stuff.

my RTT opens up towards the passenger side right above the rack.
