will 255/85/16 fit under a stock 2019 Tacoma

 

Well I am lifted 3 inches in the front on my 2015 and it rubbed the mud flaps just a bit. Mud flaps off no more rubbing

 

With the stock OffRoad wheels, yes. This is due to their offset.

 

Like @HelloMyNameIs says everything I've read is it works with stock 3rd gen off road. You can run into issues once you start looking at changing you rims. Offset and backspacing are what's important then. I was going to go this route, but wanted a wider range of tire choices. I decided to go to a 17' rim and the equivalent size 255/80r17. Should be installed by the end of the week I'll let you know how it goes.

What wheels did you go with? I'm in the market to jump to 17s from 16s. Running 255/85r16 on stock OR wheels at the moment, but would be switching to 255/80r17. Been thinking about some SCS F5s.

 

I just ordered some TRD Pro replica wheels on Thursday, and they arrived Monday off eBay . I paid $550 total including shipping. Originally offered $500 on a $589 listing price. These are 17x8 with a +15 offset. Just waiting for Discount Tire to tell me that my Wildpeaks in 255/80r17 have arrived. I'm taking a chance with the 8" wide wheel to try and save some $$. If money was no option, I'd have gone the OEM TRD Route that I think is 7" or 7.5".

They also have them in Matte, Gun Metal, a 17x9, and other offsets (0, +30, -12). Plus I also saw the SEMA style on their site with similar dimensions and colors. Here is the link I used:

Yes, this is on stock suspension. Aftermarket rims are 17x8 with +15 offset

 

any idea how they would fit with a rough country spacer lift and 17x8.5 -10 offset? I’m really digging that size and i think it’ll look full.. I’m running 265/65 right now

 

Sorry, I do not. From all of my research the offset plays a big part. Seen plenty of folks with -12 offset and lifts in these 3 threads. The threads are quite extensive but there was a lot of valuable info and pictures. I went the skinny tire route because I am probably not lifting it for another year or so, but still wanted some additional ground clearance without having to worry about any chopping or cutting. I also swapped from 16" to 17" rims to have more options in tire vendors/sizes just in case I wanted to change to something else when these wear out.
