Go to post #1 of this thread. Marlin has two sets of UCAs for our trucks, if you plan on running no lift or want lower caster numbers, he makes a standard arm with all the same benefits. Can't go wrong with these.

Been emailing Marlin. He said his stock oem replacements have been tested for 2.5 inches of lift and they still were able to get factory specs. That’s pretty cool. Just information for other people who might be in the same boat as me.

 

I have this pic of 285/75/16's if that might help. I know you are asking for 70's but no one is answering so I thought this is better than nothing. Shot was taken even with the top of the tire.

 

think I need to remove some preload. Hasn’t settled too much

Hey guys, thought I’d ask this here. I have these installed with 6112s at about a 2.3-2.5” lift. I’m noticing visible positive camber (which is somewhat normal it seems) but also and more importantly more outer edge wear on my tires. Had this set up since November 2018. 2 alignments since, the most recent being July 2019. Both were camber and toe close to zero and caster set to 3-3.4 as is recommended. Any ideas? Maybe I just need to get more frequent alignments?

 

Got pics of your last alignment numbers? I know there are a lot of alignment techs that'd rather excuse their way through on than do it right.

That was my first alignment after the lift in 2018. I since got one in July 2019, which the camber went to 3 on each side, and the other numbers were similar to the above. So nothing seems too whacky. I heard toe could give edge wear?

 

Thanks for that! I would say its more toe then. I feel like outer edge has more than the outer half of the tire like the camber wear shows. Does a lift with JBAs (or aftermarket UCA) need to be aligned more and do they go out of alignment easier? Usually I've just gone to town fair tire once a year and tell them to zero on everything, caster close to 3 as possible.

 

No lift or vehicle should "need more alignments" than another, unless the tech didn't do the work/a good job, or bolts are left loose. If you're extra rough on your truck there are alignment cam tab gussets to replace the factory adjuster tabs.

Tried to find this information all over the place, but answers seem conflicting. I am running the setup below and want to pull the trigger on these UCAs, but I am worried about potential rubbing. Anyone know if my tries will rub JBA UCA? Also, I do not want to add spacers .

Current setup:
2013 Tacoma DBL Cab 4x4
OME 885 spring/Bilstein shocks - 2.5 inch Lift
TRD Pro Sema Wheels (Size: 17x7", Offset: +4, Backspacing 4.5")
Wildpeak AT3W 265/70R17

Hey guys, quick question. Would 285/70r17 work on a 17x8.5, 4.73" backspace, 0 offset wheel with the JBA UCAs? Just want to make sure I clear the UCA.

 

Dos anyone have any personal experience on there new ez lub bushings? I want to pull the trigger on a set of UCAS but saw they offer these newer bushings and was wondering if I should get them or just stick with the other bushings?

 

My set came with them and made greasing them easy.

 

Yeah I like the concept behind them. I can see how it would it make it easier to grease . So you didn't have to special order them ? Who much of a pain in the ass where the arem to install? Your set up looks fricken awesome!

 

The bushing come standard with the arms and they are already installed.
