UCA with 1 1/2 to 2in. lift.

O K so I have ben reading that it is best to replace the uca when doing a 3in. lift. Is that so if I only lift the front 1 1/2in. to 2in. ?

 

They aren't necessary, but it wouldn't hurt anything.

 

It would really depend on what alignment numbers they are able to get with the stock UCA's? You may or may not need them.

 

Ya I can see that. Thanks guys for the replys . Question for toku58 or anyone? Iam hearing that by lifting the 2nd gen tacomas, the vehicle stability cantrol system has ben giving problems? Ia that true and if so how did you get around it?

 

True, because we build most caster into our Camburg UCA to correct the geometry change, you may or may not need them. That will all be determined when looking at alignment numbers. I never took an measurements when I did a Fox Coilover and UCA on my truck, so I do not know my exact lift numbers. However, I set the truck up just a hair higher in the front than the STOCK rear end. Unless you really looked at it, the truck appeared to be level. I still have a perfect alignment to this day.

Shouldn't need UCAs at 2" max.

I just wont to say thank you all for your replys and all the great info. I now have a 99 prerunner and Its fixed up the way i want. I was thinking of selling it to up grade to a 2nd gen. tacoma. I really like these trucks.. But now I dont know if I want to up grade, if I cant fix it up the way I want , whats the point ?
