did you use the original file or the revised file after Mat updated it due to others reporting the same issue you have? Also, did you clear LV and AT?

I used the one he posted on post #60805. I did clear LV and then Cleared AT. There are always so many posts that I miss stuff sometimes, so I am not sure if those are the updated files or not.

Is there anyone else that returned their dongle a week or less ago that HAS had their ticket closed out? Mine should have basically been overnight delivery (Mat and I live less than 5 hours from each other), and I’ve not heard anything about delivery. Starting to get a little worried.

May as well let him go now. Let him keep running his mouth and let the courts teach him about big boy consequences of unsubstantiated public claims. It's overdue. Some people just don't get it.

I can confirm - these trucks (at least many of them) simply misfire, or at the very least log misfires. I have nearly 70k on my 17' - much of it tuned, though the last 20k or so I've been stock awaiting 2.0 final... Stock, my truck will still log a handful of misfires on a cold start. Do I feel them? No. Is it an issue, I think not given my truck runs incredibly smooth and I've never had a CEL.

Toyota logic is set such that you must have >35 misfires in a 100 revolution cycle before a problem is flagged. Anything else may be the VVT under low / moderate load, and could just as easily be tolerance as the misfire is flagged based on a calculation of variance in the crankshaft to expected speed essentially so I've come to even question whether the odd misfire here or there actually happens all of the time, but even if so.... no concerns.

Mine was delivered a week ago but I have not heard anything on the new key and Vf tuner. I know he said the rest would go out this weekend but he also said they are getting 3x the tickets they normally do. I also changed my system ID last min so I'm not sure if thats effecting the key distribution for myself.

Isn't the "misfire" log just a what the ECU thinks could be the condition for a misfire?

Anyway, I've had my truck tuned for about 35k miles now and it's been fantastic. I wouldn't even know how to drive a non-tuned Tacoma anymore

Does this mean that you've emailed p5f keys for all the dongles you've received??

Just want to give a shout out and say thanks to @OVTune for continuing to teach those of us eager and interested in learning about our trucks'. Reading between all the BS and drama created by others here really still does provide a ton of excellent info based on fact and experience. I for one, have learned a lot.

Also, I've been on some form of OVtune since mile 150 and loved every second of it.

I think it means he hasn't gotten all the keys, so he hasn't emailed them all out.....

But that means that if you've sent the key back 10 days ago (like me) it's time to start getting concerned. Unless he only checks the P.O. Box once a week, but he hasn't indicated that is the case.

Not really, Thats how long ago mine was delivered. He's stated repeatedly he hasn't gotten all the keys because of Euro Easter, and once he has them he will email them out. He's also stated he's getting 3x as many tickets a day compared to their average.

This detailed timeline is very helpful to the rest of us, letting us know that our own absence of a key is not a unique circumstance.

    Thanks much............. Frank

I’m pretty sure that Mat has been waiting on keys for more than ten days.

@OVTune the 91 stock 2.0 tune easily shifts into 6th around 60 mph in normal drive mode. I have stock everything except for sliders.
