You may want to go have a read through the new VF thread. A lot of your questions are answered there and some good information. Make sure to read the most recent posts by Mat and Rafael. That thread (thankfully) isn't even close to the dumpster fire that this thread is. It will be better for everyone to keep VF specific questions there also.

I was loving 2.0 but switched back to 1.5 at ovtunes recommendation until the start up stumble is solved and it's killing me. Lol 2.0 is so great.

Any tune is better than stock. I remember when all we cared about was the throttle response. I'm still happy with who knows what ever version I'm running.

I wonder, if those that complain for a refund, will they lose access to tuning their vehicle?
If so, how are they locked out?

Would seem unfair if they complain, get a refund and are still able to flash and leech.

The only issue is some trucks during start up... Which is being fixed.

shift points, tip in, etc are all easily adjustable in vf if someone doesn’t like them.

Are you referencing this user, who eventually determined that his wiring harness, not the tune, caused his truck to not start..?

All of these issues have been addressed in great detail by Mat. If you start ignoring the trolls and read what he says, you’ll see that it’s all being corrected.

this is not the final 2.0 tune either, it’s probably the last round of beta tests before the final tune is released.

No one is forcing you to run OVtune. You can always flash back to stock, or vF will be available soon enough, then you can tune your truck to your liking

I still wonder if it's less work for Mat to release 2.0 final for dongle user, instead of doing all this trade in crap. I miss my dongle everyday.

Think about it, how much manual tedious labor for him to collect all the USB dongles, verify them via Zendesk tickets, get to his developer for reg keys, juggle hundreds of Zendesk emails. Is it really that much work to convert P5F to PCM one more time? I imagine most dongle users are 2017 owners, so 2 ECU, 04B04 and M/T equivalent. :deadhorse:

PS, I'm still waiting for my reg key as well, dongle mailed Apr 17th. Received Vf Master Key Apr 23.

Supporting legacy hardware while trying to move forward software wise can be a development nightmare.

I've never had any of these problems. Actually I've never had any problem with OVTunes. It just keeps getting better and better. So much better than stock.

Only 2 people have messaged us saying their truck doesn't go into 6th until about 70mph.
But mods and which file you use play a big part of that.

Misfiring this truck does bone stock.

Not starting issue the guy had had nothing to do with the tune.

To me it looks like you haven't been here much. We always release for testing because some trucks will have issues while majority won't.

this isn't new. Two trucks can run wildly different on the same tune depending on mods, octane, elevation, weight, etc.

Bummer, I’m testing the same tune and have about 200 miles without any issue. I hope The final get you sorted out.

You are right in that this is to voice concerns and gather feedback, but cobbling together conjecture from others (some already cleared up) is not productive. If you have experienced specific issues, and pursuing resolution in a constructive manner, that would be better received and benefit us all.

Pay to play...that goes for any modifications you make to your vehicle. There are always risks associated from doing mods, but if folks are concerned about damaging their vehicles, keep it stock.
