    It’s already been patched and welded once, and the front half of the frame has leprosy also. There’s also list of other things that it needs.

    I just feel like it’s time to let it die.

    Frame is prepped, cleaned, and POR15’d. Now to pull the double cab outta the garage, and block it up next to the donor frame, so I can move brake lines over, install the gas tank, rear springs and axle, and get it ready to move the cab to its new skeleton!

    I never thought how much extra weight can be added by the spool too... Maybe that's why my Dakar's don't hold up for shit.

    Mine took a beating last year. Have the “heavy” ones, and I added an add a leaf. I’ll see how it is this year, worst case, my local spring shop can add another leaf, a thicker one, to the pack.
