Some feedback I got was you dont NEED to change the filter part but is a nice to have.

I was curious if I should setup an external setup. i also have the green aem pump and mesh noted on page 1.

Me? Nothing. The previous, a lot.
I ended up getting what was on page one, the 2009 Highlander.
So the single Fuel Filter replacement can be purchased by itself and just spliced into the fuel line and run in conjunction with the internal fuel filter?

my knowledge on this is none. I’m pretty much a child with random legos piecing crap together to make something that resembles a truck.

It’s like a retro fit to run the filter external. That way you can easily change it when needed.

I only run the stock sock that came with the AEM.

I am not opposed to a secondary or external just haven’t done it and not high on my priority list.

    Thanks man:p

Patiently waiting on the lotek to ship out..

Here's the one im running. Super easy to wire up, and auto dims on its own. Also comes with black and white faceplates and bezels so you can match things up nicely.

Yess please! I always need more gauges:D

oh hey, forgot to mention, a huge thanks for that throttle body connector. Got that all wired in and it worked perfectly:cheers:

Just remember, that sock does not protect the injectors from the fine particulates. Only the pump.

I only say that redundantly, for others reading this.

Is there a gauge that does fuel pressure and temperature? Is fuel temp an issue or a monitored value?

I don’t think fuel temp is a monitored value. Fuel pressure is not picked up by the Scangauge, therefore I don’t think it is monitored in a Tacoma ECU. I think you would need to install aftermarket for fuel pressure gauge.

You are correct, the FP is not monitored by the ECU.

    Aftermarket it is then.

    Dual AFR/ Wideband
    Fuel pressure
    Coolant temp
    Oil Temp
    Boost pressure

Missing anything? Any multifunction all in ones that are quality? I like that Zeitronix system.

Well hell. I somehow managed to get a faulty AEM gauge brand new out of the box. I swapped out o2 sensors with one I knew was good, still had the same incorrect AFR readings (showing 17:1 or leaner all the time), so I took a gauge out of my other truck that was exactly the same and it worked perfectly. So effectively that eliminates the o2 sensor and the new wiring as the issue.. Am I missing anything or does it sound like the gauge itself is the problem? Anyone ever heard of this with the digital AEM gauges?
