Ok. You are a much more accomplished researcher than I am. I apologize for not searching the specific tires. How didn't I think of that? What a grom.

Thank you so much. Got lots to dive into here. Appreciated!

Thanks for the info. Lots of suggestions on those suckers out there, but I don't think they have the 3 peak snowflake designation...

    I appreciate it. Thank you!

Shoot, looks like you've got lots of tread left after 45K. Good to know they wear well. Unfortunately, I'm just looking for something a little more aggressive although they do look great on your awesome looking rig. Thanks for the info. I really appreciate your time.

Ya no problem. I am actually going with the Falkens for the next set to try those out.

    Nitto Terra Grappler G2.

epic tire for all of your criteria, and great in rain too. You can get it in C load too if you’re in to that.

it looks aggressive, it’s quiet on road. It’s by far the best tire I’ve run and I ran KOs, KO2s. And Coopers for years

Just know, the reason why I didn't get Falkens earlier is due to the weight. They are about 10 lbs heavier than the ATII for each tire. I am pretty sure you know about our sluggish Tacos. I am regearing now, so it will solve that problem when I do swap out.

Falken wildpeaks are a highly regarded tire on this site.
I wanted something more aggressive in case it rains while I am camping and I have to drive through mud so I went with duratracs

Here is a thread comparing the prices, tread depth, and weights of several popular tires to help you with you decision

C load duratracs are also very light weight

This is from before my lift. I had the G2s on my last truck so I ordered them for this truck too. I paid 127 a tire, and the shop ordered them. Once the shop got them, I took my truck in to have them installed, and they were the G1s. I got a great deal on them though so I kept them, and they have been just as good as the G2s, just look less aggressive in the shoulder. I will eventually get the G2s on, when these wear out, but I’ve got 15k on them and they still look new. I’ll try to find a pic of my other truck with the G2s on it.

I would look into regearing thread as well 4.88 and 5.29 threads. Talks a lot about the weight/before and after regearing.

I understand. Just a good read to know what will happen when you start adding more weight. Thought I can get a way with it until I have to put rear bumper on, but just putting winch and front bumper without sliders made my truck awful. Keeps hunting gears and there is no umph to it like what a truck should have.

Maybe new exhaust and OVTune for me will do the trick ;)

There's really no need to mess with the intake or exhaust imo and from what I have gathered on TW unless you are rerouting them. OVTune does help from what I have been told, but the big fix is the gearing because the Taco came with a 3.90 gears and the 5/6 gear are overdrives so it hardly goes to it. Of course the ideal is OVTune + regear.

No wonder they fill up that wheel well so perfectly. Looks amazing!

I'm going with the Falkens! Heard some great things about them and your pics pretty much sealed the deal. Might go with the 275/70/17. The 265 always seemed a wee bit small with my lift and the 285 would be too big, for sure. We'll see!

Thanks again and yes, once I get them on, I'll post for sure!

That is also what I want to do. Suspension lift and then move up to 275s. So your results could help seal the deal for me!
