Nice, I've been wondering about doing this for mine for a few years now. Might pull the trigger now. You only need to file down those tabs?

Yep. Just a good file and a steady hand. There are 4 of them on each corner. See picture for reference.

Just finished up the install..............awesome products!

I placed my order on Monday and package arrived Thursday................Las Vegas to West Virginia, how awesome is that! I ordered the driver side seat jacker and the MMP, quality and craftsmanship is outstanding, as well as powder coating or paint (not sure what is used). Clear instructions and simple install, takes about 10 minutes. Great product, not sure what I am going to mount yet, but there are plenty of options with the new design. Just got done with the install so still need to take it for a drive to test out the seat jackers, but I am sure I will love it................Thanks @EasyDoesIt for great customer service and an awesome Mod!

The blank center cap wasn't sitting well with me, so I gave it a little something.

Damn, looks factory fresh. You use a brush or something, mine will look like trash no matter how much I vacuum it.

HiLift also makes a neoprene cover that goes over the mechanism to help protect it from the elements and will aid in reducing the rattle.
The bungee is however a more economical option and is easier and quicker to remove. Not sure if the cover is more resilient to heat and UV rays than the bungee but I quess time will tell. Just another option for those that may be interested.

I had seen that, and the reason I didn't get that was I wasn't sure if the neoprene would basically make it like a corrosion hot-box if left on there long, and I had no idea it would help with the rattling.

I have one for mine. I have the same concerns about the heat from the sun especially underneath my cover. With the cover closed UV rays shouldn't be a problem. I took a shot and we'll have to see if it was money waisted........., only time will tell.
