Tacoma - OVTUNE - VFTUNER - Update Info and Original Development

Dang it...heading to AZ tonight. May have to download it on Saturday and install it for the 650 mile trip back home.

 

I interpreted that to mean that vftuner files were being released for those ECUs, and not the flash kit versions. I could be wrong though.

 

@n6vmo, is Mat talking about 2.0F for 04A61 releasing on Sat or something else having to do with vF? I get confused easily.

Yeah, I'm with ya. I thought that I mostly had a grasp on products and timelines, but it's getting real messy. As far as I've been able to piece together though, it's only vF tuner that's being rolled out with stock files for now (maybe some of the flash kit tune files as well, but nothing past 1.05?). I think that 2.0 final is still on the back burner. I'm guessing that we'll have to wait until things settle down from the rolling vF Tuner release before we see the 2.0 final p5f files.

Yeah I’m getting a CEL with the catted dump tubes and URD exhaust running the latest 2.0 beta. So I’m gonna have to flash back to stock here soon since I thought 2.0 final was today.

 

@OVTune thanks for the clarification. I misunderstood your post.

 

I have the CEL on the 2.0 final tube file for the M/T as well,it is the O2 sensors throwing the code. I haven't bothered flashing back to a previous tune. It runs fine and I don't believe it is doing any harm. I got 18mpg on a 100 mile round trip this past weekend to boot,very good for my heavy truck on e ply's.

ETA also note the exhaust I run in my sig line.

 

mine runs fine but cruise control is disabled with the CEL on and I still have the rough start

 

I never use cruise and the rough start was a non issue with the M/T's,best of luck.

Mine has also been doing it with every tune. I turned the corner and it shifted at 1300 RPM's in ECT mode. I just hope it's able to be fixed in VfTuner.

Also, with the 2.0F for the 04B04, my truck shakes pretty badly when at low RPM'S while cruising.

 

I totally missed read this post - when I read the 'release tomorrow will include ECU 0400, 01,...04' , and 'Based on 04B04 latest 2.0 test' I thought it was for the revised release for the "2.0 Final Test" but it must be for vF Tune. Based on all the posts since I am probably not the only one.
