Not sure how many of you are not driving your Tacos... but here is a mod that everyone should look into for their vehicles that are sitting during this time...

Left a light on my 2015 Tacoma the other day and killed the battery enough so it wouldn't start... added a pigtail and set the charger on it task... overnight and it started like a champ after it was fully charged.

I have a couple of these https://www.costco.com/battery-tender-power-plus-3-amp-charger.product.100241973.html and a few extra pigtails attached to the (Tacoma, Raptor, Avalanche, Edge and my generator). and they work great! Cheaper at Costco than anywhere else. Highly recommended.

Well worth it....and won't overcharge (Battery Maintainer)

Sorry, not something I did but more so just reaching out for help. I recently got a nice used softopper, and am in the process of putting it on the truck.

But I think I may have messed it up?

The rails are slightly angled into the bed. Are they supposed to be like that or did I mess up? Anyone have a similar experience?

    Pics of the rails currently.

Woo! I installed some Matt Gecko LEDs today. I saw them posted here a few days ago and popped on them. Quick shipping and an easy install (even for a beginner like me). This was my first unsurpervised wiring adventure. It went well, but took about 3 hrs to set up and run the wires for both sets. I'm really happy with the install and the extra light! Starting raining on me during clean up, perfect timing!

I was just thinking about how much space I could free up by taking those seats out the other day. This is really cool!

It is hard to tell from the picture but it looks even if you measure from the inside of the bed. If you are looking towards the outside of the rails then the top of the bed is tapered in and will appear uneven. At least it does when I have my tonneau cover on.

Since the bed rails have tapered sides, it's really easy for the Softopper square tube frame to get sucked down to the taper like yours has. I make sure to line the square tube frame right at the edge of the taper so that it sits on the flattest, inner-most point. I usually start at the front of the bed, line it up, then take my impact driver and quickly snug down the pinch clamp bolt while holding it there so it doesn't slip down the taper. Then I move to the back of the bed, hold it on the flat spot and snug down the pinch clamp bolt. That way, I get it mounted flat and square right where I want it.

Put in 6112's on 3/2, 5160's in the back, Icon 3-leaf AAL, and a leaf pack from a 2019 yesterday. Really glad I bought the new leaf pack, found it on Craigslist for 60 bucks and was so worth it. Cant imagine trying to cut those retaining clips off with the leaves still on the truck. Extra leaf pack gave me extra time to clean up the leaves and paint everything without having to have the truck torn apart.

I started removing the cheap OR decals. Passenger side didn't even need heat to release so that tells you how cheap the stickers are. I just used spray wax to remove the dirt caked on around where the sticker was.

Ok, follow up question: why did you feel the need to replace the tensioner? Any indication it was worn or anything?

From what I understand, a belt runs less than $30 or so while the tensioner is close to $80. This is on my to-do list so I'm trying to figure out what I need.

    Thanks!

Ok, how did you get this to fit? I ordered the exact same item and it won't fit my 2007 Prerunner. It interferes with the cover hinge and won't let the cover close.

Did you have to modify in any way?
