Can you list the part numbers you order?

I am thinking about doing the same/similar thing.

    Thank you.

I want to try with the AFE intake so there is a risk that it won't work. This trick requires the 4runner MAF sensor and splicing the wires to adapt it. Don't know if the Tacoma sensor fits on it but if it does it might be able to be calibrated with Hptuners.

The Tacoma sensor will NOT work with this mod.

Show me a picture of the AFE intake tube and I'll let you know if it does.

As an educated guess I was pretty sure the taco sensor wouldn't fit.

I really dislike messing with electronic wiring and keeping the OE stuff when possible in the engine bay, so I was really hoping I would be able to keep the OE MAF. Now that it's set though I don't see any issues arising for a long time if ever.

What is your intention of use with that tube?

Like, are you trying to see if the TRD intake tube will work in place of it?

That is the idea. For the bigger size/airflow scale. I should check my old logs to see where my MAF readings are. I am at altitude so my truck is somewhat neutered.

We all have a trade off really. I live at sea level but am neutered due to the exhaust manifolds and CARB regulations, you high altitude but no emissions regulations of a strict nature like ours. Lol. It sucks man.

As for the tube, you should be able to run the FJ/ T4R one. All you need are the tube couplers and the tube itself.

Looking at my logs from 6 months ago I am safe. I just added cam gears and urd headers and am currently working on porting the SC inlet/outlet, intake runners and adding the 76mm throttle body. I know the throttle body actually increasing flow is up for debate but it does increase the throttle response.

So the intake tube would likely just be to increase flow. I don't think I'll top out the Maf even with these mods.

    Duh. Lol.

    I meant for physical fitment.

Are you not seeing your current setup peg you out on the MAF side?

I think because of covid hps is at a stand still currently. More options wouldn’t hurt though so that may be a good option to look into.

Before I saw your post I had sent them an email about buying just the top hose. This is what I got back. Keeping fingers crossed.

Unfortunately, were are not able to separate the hose kit for your 2011 Tacoma, but we are in the development of producing a lower hose kit for the Tacoma with the super charger kit because we have been getting a couple of inquiries about the lower hose. It should be coming out in a couple of months. Follow us on instagram or facebook for any updates.

If you have any other questions, feel free to let us know.

    Thank you,

Here is the last info I have on the hps hose:
@Boozng is the one who sent in a hose for them to scan so they can make a copy.

Looking at getting quick change pulley and put it on when the front end is apart for the NST pulley swap.

Anyone have a pulleyboys or smoothflow puller I can buy/rent?

Gonna run HPTuner can I use the TRD injectors? (I searched and see conflicting ideas here but I think I can) if I’ll need bigger injectors I’ll probably just stick to 2.8.

Planning to get a Steeda tensioner do I also need a wrap or can I just buy shorter belt and the steeda? I’d prefer not to mess with wrap mod as I don’t have access to machine shop although I’m fairly handy with hand grinder.

I’m sure these have been over covered previously but I can’t find a straight answer.

I’m in as soon as they are out. I purchased them a while back like 3 years ago but as we all know the lower wasn’t compatible. At least I was able to sell the ones I bought for what I paid.
