Video was showing Bobsled fall conditions, arguably the best time of year for sled sessions. People spend summer tweaking and tuning it up. Very different from Bobsled spring conditions. There is a spring that runs down the upper section every spring, it’s likely only going to get worse over the next few weeks. Then the trail Gnomes come out and spend the summer fixing it.

For now. I could see a disgruntled hiker locating a hive in there intentionally. Or hornets/wasps if we are lucky.

Definitely that crazy guy that lives at the bottom and harasses bikers all the time. Definitely trying to figure out how to import those "murder hornets"

Yeah I wouldn’t either haha. It’s a cool idea with the gluing two halves together or whatever they do but ehhh there are too many options as it is haha

We've been building some new local singletrack. Nice to be able to ride something other than horse trails.

damn murder hornets. Side note, pretty sure those murder hornets can't survive at our higher altitudes.

That seems to be the scientific conclusion so far by some researchers. then again, aerodynamically, bumblebees arent supposed to be able to fly so :notsure:

Anybody ever have issues with their bike tipping over sideways when using a pickup pad. I have a dakine dlx and just use the built in velcro strap for the downtube, but nearly every time I go anywhere the rear tire ends up scooching over and the bike leans over sideways a ridiculous amount. I'm thinking adding a velcro strap for the fork on the outside of the tailgate would fix it but want to see if anyone has solved this another way?

turn your bars 90* from the frame and push the bike down on to the pad.

Your spokes ever get up against your bumper? I have to watch how I position mine with my high clearance rear but I think it sticks out a little more than factory.

no, the tires will protrude further than the rims and spokes and protect them. The bike really doesn’t move at all, even with the small velcro strap or strapless on short rides.

Does anyone still make an outboard bike mount for stock Tacoma bed rails? Looking to get one that works with my softtopper

Play with your rear tire placement. Move it over 6" in the bed to counteract the direction the bike wants to lean

Just rode it two days ago. No go to the top, check out my ride on the TW Strava group to see how far you can go. Snow fields still up top.
Also, no shuttle as the road is still closed.

Man, I've seen a rear triangle snap right in front of me. Dude I met up with for the day sent it, snap. Yeah lifetime warranties are great, but I'd rather not have to use them.

Yeah buddy! Another Devinci rider. Get it!

None of my 8 bikes ever seat well on the 3rd Gen using a Dakine tailgate pad alone. I end up putting a ratchet strap across the bikes (looped around or across the stems and anchored to the bed loops or rails) to keep them secure. In contrast, my ‘90s Mazda B2500 pickup needed nothing but the pad and friction unless I was really jostling around on rough roads.
