Ok I'm not claiming to know anything but in the past when I've looking into adding a factory sub to a car that didnt have one its not a simple plug and play addition unless you get the head unit, sub and amp from the other vehicle including wiring for all of that and maybe more. It appears that its the same with tacomas so you will have 2 options. Option one is get the premium jbl head unit, wiring and amp. After a quick search I found this post/thread shows a lot of good info https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...-2012-o-r-non-jbl.285725/page-2#post-17585540. The other option is go full after market with the factory sub that in reality isnt very good. Aftermarket you would need a new box(The wiring would need to be changed from the sub out of the box to work with an aftermarket amp and I'm not sure thats really doable to the factory box but it might be.), amp, line out converter and all associated wiring. For the after market route I would get a better sub to make it worth it.

We rented it through outdoorsy, cool setup but way too big for my liking. We tried a teardrop but I found out that I like to stand up to put on pants. I also don’t like putting my shoes on the bed. We have a geo pro lined up for memorial weekend, I’m excited. Also have a nobo in the future but we need to book another site to try it out. If anyone is looking to “try before you buy”, check out their site.

They’re definitely sexy, saw one at the rv expo. Can’t justify spending that kind of money for something that won’t fit in my garage.

We use to have an RPOD was a great camper. Family grew so we went bigger. Wouldn't mind another when famy size shrinks back down. You may want to check them out. Sounds like it's around what your looking for. I'll tag ya in my old build for it if I haven't already.
