    Since it’s a tube, I just cut out a hole on the front and back of the tube. Welded it on each side. Then I added a 1/4” plate laterally and welded that all around just because I realllly don’t want this thing moving. It’s ugly but it’ll hold. Probably.

    For the front you pass it through on the corner, so that way you can weld it on the front side, and all around the perimeter on the inside.

    A long time ago, I drove a tow truck. I watched a guy loading a roll back and the winch cable snapped and nearly cut him in half. It was not a good day.

    You know what i realized? The more you keep messing with betty white the more she becomes a 5 lug. Smaller, no fender flares....

    Bought a Y spare tire strap this morning. I'm going to copy @singletrack_ftw set up, though rather than use a jackstand/jack combo I'm just going to use a jack stand. After shopping around I found this company which makes their product in the good ol USA. The 'rona has me buying American now when I can. I know this isn't the most space efficient way to carry the spare, but it'll allow me to see out the back window, and dammit it looks cool.
