I like this setup a lot. Might copy it. Could you retain the tailgate now that it's moved back?

Loving your progress dude. Waiting for work to get slow so I can read back on your thread.

    Kinda my same mentality.

    Did some wheeling/camping last weekend.

Destroyed my valve stem and tested my Colby valve for the for the first time, was a fan of how well it worked and how easy it was to install.

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!

The way I have it, the posts are in the way. With the swing out moved back, the tailgate could theoretically be put back in (If I deleted the tabs that are on the posts that bolt to the tailgate latch strike location) But the posts would be in the way not allowing the tailgate to open.

I'm happy the tailgate is gone. And once I get the rest of the swing out done that may make more sense.

No problem. If you want to copy it, and have any questions, just hit me up. If it isn't in my build thread, I can shoot you a picture and try to explain what I did... lol

SOS rear disc conversion came in today. Looks like I’ll be getting the axle seals and what not done on the 02 soon to swap my clean axles with good backing plates for it’s with rotted backing plates since I have to cut em off

Yeah it's his rod holders, he does a bunch of beach fishing. And yeah it's a Colby valve.

    I have the "permanent" valves.

    https://www.colbyvalve.com/collections/colby-valves/products/permanent-valve-2-pack

The XL's have bigger diameters for like tractor tires and commercial trucks.

I got this for when I went out to Moab as a just in case/get back to civilization till I can replace the valve at a shop but I also plan on starting on carrying standard valves too. I already had two versions of valve removal/replacement tools. I have to say the convenience of the Colby was awesome. The longest part was yanking the old one out because I couldn't thread a removal tool on it because I crushed the old one. Funny part is it was fine the whole trip and didn't realize it was fucked till I tried to air up.

Disc brake kit, I’m sourcing calipers pads and rotors. As well as the parking brake shoes. Looks nice and good. It’s for 00-06 tundras so the cables will need to be modified length wise. But everything else will bolt up fine
