    Hey guys!,
new member here, I've been lurking for some time trying to figure out what mods to do with my hunting truck{2006} 4x4 ,once the stock tires had worn down, I did some research and found a 2.5 coil extenters and 1.5 stell bocks for the rear, i didnt want to stiffin up the stock ride. Well I purchased the kit from autospring in Idaho 189.00 shipped , and wrestled it into the truck by myself in a couple of hours(not fun) ,but it wasnt too hard to figure out

I wanted to keep the stock rims cause money doest grow on trees now-a-days , and purchased 2 kits of (4) hub cetric+lug centric 1.25 wheel spacers from spydertrax.com (nice product) Then I was very lucky to aquire 4 285/16/75 Goodyear MTR KEVLAR tires a good buddy hooked me up with the purchase and I cant disclose the details , cause it was a steal of a price.any ways it was good thing I purchased the wheel spacers cause no way in heck was this tire going to fit in that well with out them, the tires measure 33.5 and barely fit in there after trimming the wheel well .The ride of the tire is not bad at all, and they dont hum on the road like other tires.I mounted them black out ,(not what goodyear recomends) but the tire is asemetrical and they only make one mold so regardless how you mount them they will be backwards on one side of your truck until goodyear decides to make a left and right side molds for these tires, with that being said I dont exspect to be stuck in the mud anytime soom with this tread pattern.I looked and looked but was unable to find another tacoma owner with 33" 285's on there truck, I noticed a few jeep owners out there, but anyway here goes nothing I figure ill take the gamble and hope they fit, possibly being the first tacoma to have 285's mtr kevlars mounted

Next mod is going to be a snorkel kit and breather adapters-this truck goes through some deep water for hunting in Florida swamps,my main priority is crossing bad water holes and a combination of sugar sand and mud

One thing though is I want to be able to get some form of mud flaps back on the truck, I plan on making up some that are sturdy

nice to meet you-and thanks for all the tips I learned-Shannon

Do the tires rub at all? Like if you are turning out of a driveway?

The did, I had to eventually take the two front flaps off , I noticed a rub when turning up or down a incline while turning, the fix was to trim the inside rear fender flair about 1/2 , no more tire rub.

I will be looking to mod the flaps I have or make some new ones soon as i get the right flap material

You won't be dissapointed with the tires, they are awesome. I've had mine on for about 2 weeks, and already tried them out. They performed like a champ. When they needed to do work, they did it well.

Anyone else running the MTR Kevlars? I am strongly considering getting these right now because of the rebates out there.

They carry the Bullwinkle J. Moose seal of approval. :D

I've blacked out the letters since this photo was taken.

As MTRs go, others *say* they're quiet. But they're my first Mud/Multi-Terrain tire and they're certainly louder than the AT tires I used to run.

They show some visible wear from wheelspin from when I was offroad last week. So I don't expect they'll last as long as ATs either.

But they've got bite. Still, *no* rubber will keep you from getting stuck if you pick the wrong line.

Damn your truck is sick. Thanks for the info. My truck is not my daily right now. My car still runs great. I just use it for fun. I'll be getting about 240 in rebates so it puts the tires at about 150 each for 265/75-16.
