Etsy is weird, can't really post anything there for show. If listings are not active inventory they will only show (and get buried) under the previous sales list.

Best to find pictures here, or on Instagram.

Okay, Delrin hybrid MT knobs are as far as I can take them until they sell. Those are live on Etsy.

There are also four V2 AT knobs of similar build, which will not be listed on there. Those are already engraved, one each of #1, #3, #4, and #15. Hybrid core material for these is still buyer's choice, as is the collar engraving.

Moving on to 316 stainless knob production now. These will all be hybrids of the Delrin ring variety in either AT or MT.

    Rick,

Thanks for the update. I'll be checking in from time to time and still interested in a version 1 stainless w/ #7 MT 5spd pattern.
    Thanks again.

Two weeks ago, my day job furloughed all employees 1 day per week for the next 16 weeks, so I am able to move MUCH faster with the side gig.

    These are done.

316 stainless is up next. Here are some samples of previous 316 stainless knobs. Not looking forward to the carnage on my engraving bits, but they sure are worth the effort in the end.

There will be 14 of them, and I'm already halfway finished. OP has been updated with section views to better explain what is going on inside of these things.

After these, on to Titanium ... then done for the year most likely.

    Yep.

Even though the market for ridiculously over-engineered shift knobs has likely shrunk in the past couple of mos, I don't plan on stopping here. Worst case scenario is that I get a healthy inventory and a long vacation. :D

How many Ti knobs do you have material for? I know there have been some Ti lurkers. Not to mention that radio knob fella.

    Thanks for Watchin'.

Enough for 11 knobs, same as the last materials purchase. Think it took 18 mos, maybe even longer before I ran out.

    Rick,

One of those 14 stainless is mine, right? 5spd, # 7 pattern
Any idea when you can ship?
Will these be listed on Etsy or can we get them direct from you?

Anyone can deposit or even pay in full to lock a knob in at any time for the SS knobs. The way to do this is PM or email me.

Now is the time to do that if anybody wants custom, because at some point I will engrave them however I see fit and list them on Etsy.

I've been ghosted many more times than I care to admit for this to be done any other way.

Shipping is still about 2-3 weeks away.

I'm sure this has been asked and answered many times over in this thread.....but here it goes. Will these work with a 1st Gen 5speed? :crapstorm:

The threads are the same, but not sure if the boot is long enough to attach to a V2 collar. V1's are 3rd Gen only.

I did put feelers out WAY back about developing a 1st Gen only knob, but with only one taker ... couldn't justify the effort.

I just picked up my 1st Gen a month ago. Sooo, if I were to have a new shift boot made this would be golden?!

Progress pic for the stainless knobs.

All roughed in and beginning to finish them for the copolymer ring mounting operation.

New development here. I had a request to come up with an adapter to get V1 AT connection on a V2 knob body (they are slightly different). It will look something like this. I will probably get rid of the thin-walled counterbore in the brass pc, which isn't really needed anyway.

Once the SS knobs are out I will make a few.

If that looks confusing, this is how it sits inside of the boot (below).

Here is a regular V1 AT, transition from knob to connector a little smoother, but really not much different.
