I’m here now and they said the full-size spare is the same size as stock wheels and tires just they came on a 16in rim so I guess I’ll be looking for a 5th TRD sport rim to match

    It's a rivet nut silly!

OK, now that I'm thinking about rivet nuts again. o_O I'm curious how many of you have actually gone and bought one?
More importantly, if you've used it what do you think of it? Just curious.

I would do the same. I plan to get 5 trd wheels. I have stock wheels. Right now all of them are in same size. If I get bigger tires, I will get spare in same as new ones.

    That's weird.
Brand new truck and that's how they left it?
Why not $ave a few bucks and just get a cheap steelie? It's only going to catch hell under there anyway and nobody will see it until or if you get a flat.
    Just a thought.

    Rivet you say?

You rivet the nuts? Squirrels aren't happy about that.

It’s ridiculous that if you have an OR the spare would be the same size rim but the sport has 17in and doesn’t come with the spare 17in as well. The dealer said that a new sport wheel was $554 which is outrageous. I found one on eBay for less then $200 so waiting to see if he accepts my offer

If you have a standard torsion spring you have a center bearing… its whats holds the spring to the header. Now it can be a plastic bushing instead of an actual bearing.

unless you have one of those screwed up systems that the spring attaches to the end bearings- there’s a small few manufacturers that try to reinvent the wheel

I’d have to check the specs, but I’m pretty sure that the Off Road and the pro are the only trim lines that included a full size spare.

This prevents spare wheel damage ;)

(not my picture, if it’s yours and you’d like me to take it down, please let me know)

I highly doubt the accuracy of that. In fairness to the dealership, the outer diameter will be the same, but that’s probably it.

Actually the TRD Sport has a full size but that’s exactly what happened As you said. 16in rim but bigger tire so it’s same size as stock 17in rims and tires. Kinda crappy for a 40k truck it wouldn’t have all the same but I’m just gonna leave it and not worry about It

Just ordered the ICON Stage 1 and AAL kit for the buggy. Bilstein recommended the diff drop kit 4WD trucks for 1.5'' of front lift and more to increase the CV axles life. Should be here by end of next week. Pics after install.

I don't own one yet, but have used a few. I think it's the most impressive tool developed in this century.....or at least this decade....or some shit like that. Normally I try to use existing bolts, nuts, holes.....wait..forget the holes. I will probably get one when I get back on the Mustang build.
