Meso any issue with removing this section ? I see yours is removed i am guessing for your bumper and winch. Did you do anything to replace it for support if needed? Or just cut out the curved piece and bolt some flat bar straight thru i could still make brackets for the cooler mount if i did it that way! Any thoughts ?

I think @Hodakaguy did a write up on this at one point. Quite a while ago. Look through his posts, it was when he Installed a slimline with a warn.

Thanks again i was following his build for a while. That guy and his Dad are freaking awesome! This is exactly the piece i was talking about. I am going to spend a lot of time tomorrow trying to avoid cutting it out. I think i can do it without cutting it. I just didnt have time today.

Something to consider for those who off road often. Sounds like this is a vulnerable area due to flexing between the frame and cab/core support. Seems like they are all 2nd Gen's but I'm sure the 3rd Gen's will see this in due time. Too bad Toyota didn't provide a beefier core support for the TRD OR. Wonder if upgrading the cab mount and core support bushings helps prevent this.

Now I may try to avoid cutting and route the FMIC piping through the existing holes in back of the headlights as OVT's kit is designed.

    Thanks for the info.

It's a known 3rd issue as well. In my humble opinion, "upgrading" to the energy bushings accelerates the issue. They're much Higher durometer and transfer more energy/vibration to the mating parts. Just speculation on my end though.

Most winch/bumper installs leaves that in place.

i had to trim mine a lot and it still rubs on the winch housing. Probably going to remove it completely next time I take the bumper off

So with invoices going out sometime this week to people who pre-ordered base kits, what's the timeline looking like for shipping those kits out and delivery? Still June? @OVTune

Sorry, I’m not sure if I missed it early on but just want to be clear. For those requiring the DI’s and VFtuner is that a separate bill at a later date or is that available to order now from your website?
