Okay how the hell do you flash ecus with techstream, you have to log in to get the files?

You might want to check post 63593 from OVtune. He is going to show you how to update your ecu without TS. At least that’s how I read it

Updated to 04A61 and then to 2.0. We'll see how she does tomorrow on the way to work.

 

This may be a dumb question, but when you delete flash manager and download the newest version, do we need to go through all the same steps to load it up as we did the first time? Cable drivers etc...?

 

*I* would want it to operate as I *believe* it was designed. As an upper limit on gear. That's the only thing it should change. For example, since 5/6 are overdrive this is particularly useful when towing or in other situations where you want to avoid upper gears.

I'm surprised how many people don't like gear lock all of a sudden?
I figured it would be even more useful when offroading.
Especially if we implemented direct shift and the feature that lets you start from a stop in 2nd gear

 

I still enjoy gear lock. I just can’t wait to not have to use ECT to use gearlock

 

I'm not concerned. I want my truck to go when I push the skinny pedal, not fall over itself.

 

I love gear lock and not having to hit ECT to utilize it. Please keep this feature.

 

I love it, I originally thought i would not like it, but after using it a bunch I don't want to lose it in the way you've mentioned it will work in 2.0F. I actually flashed back to a 4.88 tune just to get it , as the 5.29 tune for my ecu that's available did not have it.

Starting in 2nd sounds pretty awesome. Especially for those of us that have re geared.

 

I agree starting in 2nd gear for wheeling is very useful in some scenarios

 

I didn't like it at first but forced myself to get used to it; then you switched it to S mode and it screwed me up lol

 

There really isn't that many people who dislike it.

 

I like gear lock.

 

Love gear lock!! Please keep it. From 4 wheeling to towing it’s a win in my book.
