I have the Skycamp and 4 people sleeping up top, never noticed any issues at all. I have the 18” Alumax rack

Apologies if this has been answered already, but what is the difference between the Aluminum Taco Max and the ALUMAX racks? For the 10" models, the aluminum Taco Max is $825 and the ALUMAX is $950.

On a separate note, how are people mounting snowboard racks or kayak racks to these bed racks? I have a Diamondback cover and was planning on drilling into it to add some crossbars. I would like to avoid that if possible though and use a bed rack instead.

@stiles88 I can't comment on how to mount but the taco max is steel and the alumax is aluminum.

The ALUMAX features adjustable width, so it fits all trucks. Same thing with the STEEL Max. All TACO Max racks will only fit a Tacoma.

Our racks will work with Diamondback covers when you get our optional tonneau brackets.

Thank you for that info and for the picture! I won't need the adjustable width option, so I'll most likely order the aluminum Taco Max within the next month or two.

As far as mounting it with the Diamondback cover goes, I'm planning on getting the 46" rack. I'm assuming I can mount the tonneau brackets anywhere in the bed rails? I want to have the rack centered over the bed versus being closer to the cab.

The tonneau brackets attach to the accessory rails, so those rails will dictate where the rack can be positioned.

Have been doing alot of research on your racks lately and came across the UTC Max I think it was. Was wanting to get this rack due to the nature of being able to open my Diamondback HD at the same time. It looks like its no longer offered on your site anymore unless I just couldn't find it. Any idea if they will be re-stocked or made again? Or do you guy have more plans in the future with a rack that can work with opening bed covers like my Diamondback. Thanks!

    Many.
Odd question here. I’m looking at the bike mount for both sides. Would they prevent me from mounting MaxTrax and Rotopax between the forks? I can’t find any photos of all items together. My plan is to mount a hilift and shovel on the inside since I only have the 10 inch model.

Depends on the bike. I've done stuff like that.

Also don't forget that traction boards, Rotopax, shovels, and jacks can be mounted inside the rack

Here’s how I spaced mine. I have Rotopax on both sides but the other side holds a small poop shovel near the rear tray as well. Like @KB Voodoo said I put my highlift on the inside and a long shovel as well. F43BA675-7341-4DBC-9182-73A05221EFA1.jpg

I really like the double side panels on your rack. I’m doing that to our Raptor this weekend. More space for activities.

I’d like to see that. Yeah to me it just looks better, stronger, and like you said more real estate to mount stuff
