Dang that sucks about your truck.

That's why I was asking about which wire you taped into. Was it the dome light?

No problem. and you can switch the wires around to have it work differently. Mine I made sure was off when the head lights are on due to reflection on windshield at night.

How do you like the front locker?

I’m going to 4.88’s at some point but have yet to make up my mind regarding a front locker.
I use the rear e-locker fairly often and will have on board air by the time I regear so that part will be done.

Honestly its one of my favorite upgrades. Its saved me a hand full of times. It amazes me when I've bottomed out my truck and think there is no way I can get out of a situation. Lock the front and rear, go back and forth with turning the wheel left and right half a turn or so (btw not a good idea to lock out the steering when front is locked, that's how you brake cv's ) surprisingly I haven't broken any cv'c on my Tacoma. Broken at least 4 on my 97 4runner which didn't have any lockers. That might be why too. With lockers you have a lot more control when doing technical trails. Only thing I wish for is a 5 speed and dual cases and it would be perfect.
If you have the funds lock up that front end when you regear, you wont regret it when it saves you on the trail.

Was this by the Alderwood mall? Wife and i used to live over that way, absolutely hated the traffic and all the bad drivers.
    Goodluck with insurance.

Yes you are correct, I had to make a trip to the Alderwood mall. Not a big fan of the traffic in that area. Try to avoid it all I can.
And still working with insurance trying to figure out repair cost.
    Thanks

Where were they even turning? Hopefully you don't have too much trouble with the insurance.

+1 on locking the front end when doing a regear.

I put an ARB in my front when I regeared to 4.88's. Used it a handful of times so far and definitely glad I have it. One of those things that you don't wanna have to use all the time, but comes in clutch when you absolutely need it.

Looks good man! It's a lot of work doing that.
I went through pretty much the same thing myself, but didn't end up replacing the fender apron. Pulled it out and bolted a new core support to the front.
Learned a lot in the process and everything looks normal from the outside. It's by no means perfect on the inside though.

Looks like you got a replacement apron & core support from a scrapyard which is good. Mine was an eBay special and i've been having issues with the front body mounts collapsing because of the lack of structure in those spots with an aftermarket one.

Thanks and Yes, that was the main reason why I decided to go with a junk yard core. The eBay ones don't hold up the same. I did have to pull it which took for ever but I'm happy with the results.

Are you still running the all pro expos? I’m looking to do the same as you - upgrade from Dakar’s with the xtra leaf to the expos and was curious if they have settled any?
