ECU TSB Update

@OVTune got a hold of the TSB. And, it is MT only!

 

Does anyone have this CUW file? I have TS but need the file for the TSB-0043-20. I also see its mentioned that you need Software version 15.00.028 or later is required. I have 15.00.26.

We're all waiting anxiously for it.

It was said that it doesn't appear in the Canadian dealer system yet.

That is interesting about the TS version. Usually the version doesn't matter because the CUW is the executable. I flashed a 2018 with V12, but could not use it to do customizations.

 

@tonered - I went ahead and updated to the v15.10.029 and did a MHH request. All works and I have the latest version working great. I will scan my 2017 and a few friends MT vehicles to see if the latest TSB/CUW file pops up.

Not yet, but as soon as OVT tosses out 2.0 support for it, I will update. The Taco is running so well right now that I don't want to be stuck on Stock.

I did spend my vF credits on 04B14 though.

I missed that like six times. With so many folks on V14 that @lapoltba and I have linked, it might be interesting to try with that version.

I do know that V14 will allow customizations on all 3rd Gen Tacos including 2020s, but V15 is needed for 2020 T4Rs.

So that tsb is only for 2016-2017 models. What about the 2018+ guys? Is there a tsb I can show my dealer or should I just ask for a health check?

 

The only TSBs for 2018 MTs is TSB-0058-18 and TSB-0125-18. That will get you from 04A70 to 04A71.

No one knows if Toyota will be dropping a new TSB.

It is very unlikely that your dealer will flash you. Easier and less frustrating using TS and the OVT adapter.

There is a typo for your ECU. It should be 04A70 / 04A71.

 

so is it dummy proof? Lol today is the first I’ve heard of doing it yourself with the software etc.

 

Mostly foolproof. Just follow the instructions and tips as close as possible. Hundreds of folks did this flash.
