To be fair the 6.0 sucked. One of the worst engines Ford ever made. The new 6.7 is a much better engine and I have a BIL with a 1999 and the 7.3 engine with over 400,000 miles; no issues at all.

An engine with a turbo CAN work great. Ford introduced the engine in 2011, most of the horror stories are 2011 and 2012 trucks. By 2013 they pretty well figured it out and problems are now quite rare. Big rigs use turbo engines and have for years. One million miles on them is common, no reason longevity can't be possible on a smaller version. It is rumored that Tundra is going that way with their upgraded truck.

Yeah but it’s 2020. You can drop 5k ($5000 dollars) with a TwIn TuRbO KiT and finally beat that civic. But the civic after that, probably not. Or. Say. Something mildy more powerful.

Is this the only automotive forum you've been on? 'Cause this is the case with everyone I've been on in the last 20+ years. There are always going to be hardcore *insert any manufacturer's name* on any site. I have no problem with that as long as you own your vehicle because you like it....not like it because you own it.

And frankly, the anti-fanboy/cynics crowd has just as much, if not more, of an agenda to spread as the blind faith people do.

my company bought a lot of vehicles with 6.0s from ford, terrribleeee. From what I heard from our fleet mechanics, that engine almost ruined Ford.

1.5L turbo in my wife's '17 Civic EXL is plenty quick, even more so in Sport mode with econ disabled. Got the receipts/speeding tickets. Such a fun little car. But we never bought any vehicles to make a track time record.

    Agree 100%
I regularly pass traffic with the "gutless" 3.5L. Guess some folk just don't know how to accelerate :notsure:
