Tacoma - OVTUNE - VFTUNER - Update Info and Original Development

Yup everything I've read says OVTune is making it available for flash kit owners with the 2.0 final 5.29 tune and users can set it in VFtune on their own tunes.

 

Isnt this an ovtune thread. How about we keep it at that

Doesn't work, the truck will basically die and takes about 5 seconds to come back with power if you did that. You need to stay below the max MPH, Mine is about 86 indicated but reality is about 94 MPH. I know, I know, that is fast enough on 35s.

Yep, been back and forth between the two mega threads. With all our hills and terrain around the PNW, I think I will like the feel of the torque of 5.29 but that might lead to me putting my foot into it a bit more lol. In all seriousness though, I am more worried about highway speeds out here since I make about a 40-mile commute on I-90 daily where the speed limit is 70. Mileage already is a bit of a struggle if I'm doing 70-75, I worry that those speeds with 5.29s will make it drop even more. I wasn't getting gears for the mpg but I was hoping that along with the OVtune, I might stay the same or increase my mpg just a slight bit. I will say the Beta 2.0 with the 33" tire tune has been pretty solid so I'm sure the gears are that much better!

This is a .pcm file. Been with Matt since 1.01, but have yet to return my dongle. Currently running 1.05.

2.0 isnt going to be put out for dongle users. You have to take advantage of the free upgrade to VFtuner for 2.0. Links in post #1.
