    Absolutely. I have the fridge jacket installed as well but already having temps in the high 80’s makes me think this is going to be one hell of a summer. I haven’t got to dual batteries yet although I already have the battery I was going to use the solar to keep my main battery topped off And then re asses if I should rob my travel trailer of its agm battery as well

    this is how I have mine setup. Except I have 1x100 watt panel, going to a group 24f deep cycle battery. The fridge is running directly off of that, along with any other bed lights that I have/want to add later. I have had this setup for over a year with no issues.

    I looked into eternabond tape after seeing some rv installs suggesting it. I like the way the scotch 30 tape looks since youd have to cover the outside edge with the eternabond tape is the scotch tape still holding strong?

    Ill show you on Sunday too..

    but its nothing fancy. The battery sits inside of a cheap NoCo battery box in the bed. I also have a blue sea fuse panel that is screwed into the lid of the battery box. I run the 12v and USB plug off of that, for the fridge. (the first two pictures are from this past winter, and the last picture was a couple weeks ago)

    So your second battery isn’t tied into the truck at all? As in not a true dual battery setup?

    That is correct. The second battery is for the fridge/bed lights/backup for tent (because I have an automatic opening tent)

    That’s what I’m wanting to do. I don’t want to have run all the way to the alternator and spend a ton for weekend warrior type camping. I just want my fridge to be powered as well as the lights in my shell and a small 12v fan/light in my tent.

    Those prices are insane though. Hard panels are definitely the way to go for Watts per Dollar.

    I dont want them rubbing on my paint. No one can see them up there, so it doesnt need to be a clean install.

    I am going to be moving my panel to the driver side soon, and adding a plano box to the rack for some recovery gear.

    Got ya. Yeah, I never thought of that but I guess I never cared enough. The panels are awesome as can be but yes, they take up a lot of damn real estate. I want to relocate it to the top of my tent but then I won't fit in the garage.

    @fatfurious2 i think hooking the secondary battery to power is as simple as running a charge isolator between the main battery and the secondary battery. That is what my setup will be when the tent gets here.
