Right but if I have the LED hardness from Mike, then I would just need LED bulbs, no?
I read the LED bulb thread but I cannot seem to determine which LED bulbs are most recommended by the forum members.

 

No, the harness is used for the entire new headlight assembly.

Most all "Drop in Style" LED's do not need a harness as they plug directly into your stock connectors.

most recommended LED's are all over the place scattered in the marked. Literally hundreds of brands. Things to mainly look for are lumen output (brightness) and Kelvin temp (color) whites, blue-ish, blue, etc.

 

Hmm OK so I could go with the Hikari bulbs (4 of them, plus the canbus error harness). The Hikari LEDS do not say LOW or HIGH beam.

With the harness I could just save that for when/if I decide to swap to a full LED setup.

 

For your application, yes. They might not say HIGH or LOW but they can be used for either and in some cases your fogs as well. I am not too familiar with canbus harness's but it might be needed, might not be needed. Wouldn't hurt to email them to ask.

Yes, for the above use you can save the harness for a later time if you deiced to use it for the OEM LED headlights.

 

Thanks. I think I'll go with the Hikari and buy the canbus harness to be safe, then check for fog lamps. When I get a quote on the LED headlight option I may go with that since I already bought the harness. Much appreciated!

that’s a perfect pic, I just got my TRD grill badge two days ago!

 

how long is the wait? about to pull the trigger. was down to headlights or volks. doesnt look like the 16lb volks is in stock, so might as well go with the leds for the time being since im back into modding my taco lol.

I ordered my OEM pro grille in Sept 2016 and didn't think much of it.... Oh boy, they are everywhere now on truck and endless amounts of replicas on the market.

 

I'm just glad I didnt have to pay $1200 for mine, best $480 spent.

 

For real! I mean I ordered two, two weeks apart. The first one I ordered was I think low $400's with a three week shipping lead time. Then found another OEM for $350 but it was 8 weeks out, so I cancelled the first one, figured I'm okay waiting a little longer and saving around $60. The second one ended up on my door only three weeks later, so, score!.
Still looks amazing and seen some people having fading issues with their replicas after only a year
