Who has painted their grill surround black with either plasti dip, paint, or bed liner? If you have pics, please share!
Same with rear bumper if you have done that too.
Thinking about ditching the chrome but don't really want to find mgm matching bumper.

Try a bumper cover, little pricey for what it is but it gets the job done:
    https://www.ecoological.com/store/p68/2005-2015_Toyota_Tacoma_-_Rear_BUMPERSHELLZ™_-_Chrome_Delete_Truck_Bumper_Caps.html

I chose the 'paintable ABS', did a few coats with MGM color matching paint and 2 coats of clear and it still looks great imo. (Finally changed my tail lights too, hated that chrome look even with it smoked)

Got another pic of it out in the sun and a better angle so I can really see the contrast of the black and mgm?
Did you scuff up the chrome any to make the plastic dip stick better?

Wash it thoroughly and give it a few hours to dry. Plastidip doesn’t need any sanding, it would actually hurt the finish. Watch the videos from dipyourcar on YouTube, he’s made millions off the stuff. One of the biggest things he said was lots of layers. Can’t stress it enough, use a full can to do the surround and emblem. It’s easy to take the grill off, it will make it easier to get all the angles.

Thanks, I'll give it a go. Worst case of I don't like it I'll peel it off. Yours looks good so I have a feeling I'll like it.

I think the bumper would have to be scuffed really really well or sand blasted for the raptor to stick to the chrome and hold so I just stuck to the plastic parts...now on the chrome grill surround that was easy to scuff because it isn't the same as the whole bumper. I am partial to this stuff because I know many people who have had it last for a long long time and does not fade. Best of luck on what you decide.
